A couple hours later, after dinner, the conch horn sounded, indicating it was time for capture the flag.
Annabeth came together with the rest of her cabin, carrying a silk banner with Athena's symbol. On the opposite side of the pavillion, Clarisse and her siblings came out, holding another silk banner but Ares' symbol instead.
Chiron hammered his hoof on the marble.
"Heroes!" he announced. "You know the rules. The creek is the boundary line. The entire forest is fair game. All magic items are allowed. The banner must be prominently displayed and have no more than two guards. Prinsoners may be disarmed but may not be bound or gagged. No killing or maiming is allowed. I will serve as referee and battlefield medic. Arm yourselves!"
Lilith didn't bother walking to the table with all of the equipment. She removed the sword-like charm from her bracelet, which transformed into a real life-sized one once it was detached. She did the same with the dagger charm and buckled it on her side.
Turning around, she saw Percy staring at her incredulously.
"What?" She asked.
"You have a bracelet full of weapons with you on all times?" He asked.
"Of course," Lilith said nonchalantly.
"And I thought having one was like breaking the law," he muttered to himself.
Lilith laughed. "You'll get used to it."
Leaving Percy with Luke to grab their weapons of choice, Lilith walked up to Annabeth.
"Where do you want me, captain?" Lilith asked, a smirk on her face.
"Offence, of course. You're one of the best players we have," Annabeth said, rolling her eyes at the nickname.
Lilith winked and fell back as she called team blue forward.
"Ready to win?" Luke asked, falling into step with her.
"Of course. I'm not letting Clarisse win again."
"You on offence?"
"As always."
"Good."
