Chapter 6: Fortunate

The whole entertainment district was decorated, to the brim. Red lanterns hung everywhere, candles, and fireworks being prepared at the brothel. People on the streets were chatting, and guessing who could have gotten bought.
The ladies inside the ‘garden’ have reacted differently, as was per usual when someone got bought. Some were happy for the lucky individual, some were not so happy.
-”I can’t believe she got bought..”
=”You don’t have to say, who is the moron who wants her?”
-”A real idiot I must say, I mean look at that plank of a girl!”
Some ladies were full of envy, and talked badly about the lucky girl.
These two were not the only ones either. The chatter hadn’t reached Fuyona's room, who was preparing herself, with the help of some other, kinder girls, despite her protest.
She was looking into a mirror, applying makeup, when:
=”You look quite lovely!” A familiar voice spoke. Fuyona turned around, and saw someone who was just as beautiful as the last time she was here, Natsu.
-”N..Natsu!? What are you doing here?” The girl asked in surprise, and the other ladies gasped as well.
The woman covered her mouth and chuckled.
=”I couldn’t leave this out now, could I?”
Fuyona’s eyes slightly watered, and she ran up to, and hugged Natsu.
-”I’m so glad you are here!”
=”I’m glad you’ll be free. And that you have changed your mind about love!”
<She really doesn’t change..>
The girl thought, while letting go of the hug.
-”Maybe.. but to be honest, he is still an idiot.. just a really nice idiot.”
=”Aw, sounds like you two get along, well!”
-”Yeah, kinda.. so you came just to see me leave? Sounds kind of silly.. but then again it’s you, Natsu..”
The woman chuckled, once more.
=”Well, yes. But I just wanted to make sure everything is good for you! Let me help you with dressing up!”
-”Uh, alright.. if that is what you wish to do..” <She is going to doll me up, isn’t she..>
Fuyona, with some second thoughts, accepted Natsu’s help. Who made sure the former looked as beautiful as she could.

Meanwhile Kai, who had gotten all his savings together, was preparing as well. <I’m glad my lord was generous enough to lend me some money, without any conditions.. but I’ll have to work my behind off to repay it..>
The samurai was putting on his finest clothing, and made sure he looked his very best. He was going to be buying his love, after all. Thinking back, they had quite the ride getting to know each other. Meeting on what could essentially be called an accident.
On that day, Kai merely went to the Entertainment District because he wanted to talk to a person of the other gender, without getting the worst of insults thrown at his head. A rather disgraceful reason, but still better than what most men go there for. Falling in love was not what he had planned on for sure. Enough poking at what had happened, the young man has a journey to make!

After a while, and a collection of a favor later, Kai arrived at the place he would no longer have to visit, on a carriage. He could see all the commotion and the familiar scenes of other men going to their beloved or frequently visited ladies, panickedly asking if they had gotten bought. He had done the same a while ago, but this time he was the one holding his head high and proud. Entering the building, the samurai could see a lot of wonderful flowers, ready to say goodbye to one of their fellows.
His heart pounded like if he was chased by a wild beast.

Slowly coming out of her room, and dressed in a way no one could say isn’t appealing, Fuyona walked through the hallways. The candles flickered as she passed by, with each step she had grown a bit more anxious.
Slowly but surely, she reached the staircase, and walked down. Soon eye to eye with the man, she could no longer deny loving, a rare sight of a smile formed on her lips.
=”I’m ready when you are.” Kai said, hiding his nervousness, to the best of his ability.
-”Oh, I’m ready, for certain.”
The crowd of ladies looked on, as the two held each other’s hands and walked out of the doors. They began to dance their companion away all, even the ill minded, wishing her a happy life.
As the two had gotten on the carriage, they both let out sighs of relief. Kai for not fainting in front of a crowd, Fuyona for being free.
-”I must look ridiculous in this get up..”
=”No! You look absolutely gorgeous!”
The girl would have blushed, if she wouldn’t have expected him to say such a thing.
-”You look very elegant too.. I assume you have piled up a considerable amount of debt for me..”
Kai, a bit embarrassed, replied in a tone of confidence:
=”Let that be my problem! I will just have to work really hard.. but it was worth it for you!”
-”Stop the corny lines, they are getting a bit annoying!”
The carriage began to move, leaving behind the only place the young lady had known up to that point in her life.
With a mixture of emotions she spoke:
-”I really am leaving..”
=”Yes.. it must be hard to believe..”
Fuyona, to the surprise of her companion, wrapped her arms around him.
-” Thank you.. you dumbass.” She told him softly.
=”Thank you for everything you’ve done for me..”
-”I haven’t done anything..”
=”You did, you just don’t know it.”
-”Then enlighten me, Kai.. I don’t like staying in the dark..”
=”Well, you know how I said, when we first met, that I just wanted to talk to someone?”
-”Yeah, it was really pitiful.. but still better than most men.”
=”I was never really good at talking to girls..”
-”I noticed..”
=”Will you let me finish?”
-”Then don’t stop after every sentence!”
The two of them bickered, as they’ve left behind the district.
=”You were the only one that didn’t throw a million insults at my head.. and actually listened to what I said. That means a lot to me!” Kai explained.
-”I had to do that, though.. but I guess you’ve met ladies worse than me before.. to consider me good..”
=”Regardless, I love you!”
-”I love you too.. idiot.”
The two of them both confessed.
After finally being free, Fuyona was happy, and even happier to be with Kai. The latter of whom was a really clingy, loyal, and caring husband. The blue haired lady struggled not throwing wooden spoons at his head on occasions, though. Despite that, the pair lived a long and happy life, and had 2 wonderful children, who they raised with attention and care.

Phew, achievement get!
I've finally managed to finish a story everyone! It was so scary.. I'm bery proud of myself! But also.. a bit sad.. it's over now.. and I am also very thankful! 6 short chapters, yet a journey.. a gateway to a new hobby, an undeniable part of my life. I will forever cherish this, undeniably not so great, story! It may not be a masterpiece, but to me it is something very special!
