Corpses in Drawer

As a maggot slithered on the head's eyes and nose, soil and dirt on the gaps of the corpses were scratched and fell down. One of the corpses had silver hair while the other had brown hair. The body were seriously injured with scars and scratches on their hands, chest and legs. There was also one big wound on one of the heads, bleeding with solid blood. It was dry. The corpse had been dead for days. Despite of this horror stage, surprisingly odd, the corpses were lying on the drawer peacefully with hands on the sides. They were in a fine posture, as if they were just sleeping.

"Ahhhhhhhhhhh!" I screamed again as the insects crawled near my shoes.

"Corpses? Why are there corpses inside this bedroom?" Levi asked. Although this bedroom may not look 'lovely', at the very least, it was normal. Normal bedroom wouldn't have corpses.

"What do you mean there's a corpse in your room? That ridiculous!" Keira shouted at the walkie talkie.

"Good grief. Thank god I didn't choose that room," Inga said in relief, "It's even more worse than ours."

"Come on, guys, it's just a corpse." Haddie sighed. A corpse didn't seem to frighten her. After all, in her words, it was just a corpse.

"A corpse is a corpse. Why? Please don't tell me normal people can be used to corpse."

"At least you didn't see it," Haddie complained, "Levi, is there anything written on corpses? Symbols? Words? Numbers or marks? Maybe there will be something on the corpse which is a clue."

"Sigh. You sure look calm," I sighed softly, "You don't need to touch a corpse. The corpses are full of scars. They're terrible."

"If I could, I'll be happy to investigate the corpse for you. After all, it's not my first time to touch one," said Haddie.

"What? Please don't tell me you are a murderer too," said Keira.

"No, of course not. My dad works at the funeral. I'm used to seeing dead bodies."

"That's new. No wonder you are so calm," Von praised.

"It's nothing special. I just watch my dad work. I'm not working there. So, what do we got, Levi, Reed and Pike, oh he's dead, right? Is there anything symbols?"

"Symbols? Yes, there is. It says...."

DECODE ME

ROT1

DO NOT TRUST THE PEOPLE HERE

"Do not trust the people here? What does it mean?" Levi touched the words stitched on the arm with threads and needles. The skin was stiff and cold. It lost light and changed into dark purple colour. Unlike the corpses, surprisingly strange, the stitches were new and fresh like that old children diary.

"Levi, look! It's ROT1! It's the same writing as the white rectangular painting on the wall!" We rushed back to the painting.

The painting says,

ROT1 says,

"Xibujtuifnjtublfxijdimfbet up uifsftvmuupebz?

Qfsibqtzpvdboufmmnf?"

"Those scramble words.......they need to be decoded. ROT1 must be a clue!"

"But what is ROT1? I never heard of it!"

"I have!" Haddie replied, "It's a simple letter substitution cipher which replaces a letter with the nth letter after it in the alphabet. For instance, the number is one. 'A' will be replaced by 'B'. 'B' will be replaced by 'C' and so on.

"I get it! If you're right, that means the first letter 'X' will be replaced by 'W' and 'I' will be replaced by 'H'.......which means......the message will be......" I quickly took my notebook and wrote the words down.
