High School Drama [SONADOW]

Chapter 5 - Crushes

On their way back to their dorm, Sonic had been staring at Silver who for some reason already got Mephiles' number and they kept texting each other ever since they just left their house. It's almost like they haven't seen each other for days.

Scourge looked at the rearview mirror and saw Sonic.

"What's wrong, Sonic?"

Sonic jolted in his seat and just noticed Scourge on the small mirror.

"Nothing's wrong!" He smiled nervously.

"You sure?" The other asked and he nodded rapidly.

The two freshmen were dropped off to the dorm. They thanked Fleetway and Scourge before they drove off. They went inside the building and finally reached their room.

"Hey, I gotta talk to you." Sonic said as he closed the door.

Silver sat down on his bed, still holding his phone but stared at Sonic. "Hm?"

"What were you whispering about to Mephiles earlier?" He asked while putting his hands on his hips.

"Oh, that? Ah...well..." Silver smiled awkwardly and looked away, his ears folded back and he looked nervous.

"Yeah I see you, while you were being super close with him you whispered something and looked at my direction." Sonic said with an annoyed tone.

Silver shifted his eyes and kept eye contact with Sonic for a few seconds, but he was defeated with the glare.

"Oh okay fine....I...told Mephiles." He mumbled and looked away.

"SILVER! Why?!" Sonic cried.

"I'm sorry I couldn't help it!" Silver apologized, putting his phone down so he could put his palms together. "He was asking about you and he mentioned about Shadow's ex and the thought of you crushing on Shadow just slipped out of my mouth!" He explained quickly.

Sonic's eyes widen. Did his ears just caught that correctly? Shadow's ex? He put his hands down and walk to sit on his bed, facing Silver. "Wait...he has an ex?" He asked and Silver nodded.

"His ex is a sophomore in our school, they dated for a year before they broke up."

"Is that so..." Sonic sighed.

"Are you not angry at me now?"

"Oh I'm still angry! You still shouldn't have told his BROTHER about my crush!"

"Ahh I'm really sorry I do!" Silver whined, "I won't tell anyone else! Well, besides Mephiles now. I promise!" He pleaded.

Sonic huffed angrily. He took a deep breath to calm himself down, it wouldn't do anymore good if he kept being angry at his friend.

"Did...did Mephiles tell you about who Shadow's ex is?"

Silver blinked at him before nodding his head. "It's Mina The Mongoose. Just to let you know I have no idea who that is."

"Me neither...but the fact that he has an ex makes me scared of what might happen in the future." Sonic sighed and laid down on the mattress. "What if he still likes her?"

Silver got up and frowned, "hey don't say that. They're exes, why would he still like her? You're so much better! Plus, you're in the cheerleader team where you can always meet Shadow and his basketball team!" He sat next to him, "you have a better chance to be with him than her." He assured with an optimistic smile.

Sonic stared at his friend and smiled, he sat up and sighed. "You're right...I have to look on the bright side too, but you know what?"

"What?"

"I'm gonna feel like a clown when we meet them since Mephiles knows I like his brother."

"I'M SORRYYY."

Shadow walked out of his room to reach the door on the opposite side of his room. He just let himself in and saw Mephiles doing his homework on his desk, his ears plugged with his wireless earphones.

"Mephiles. Hey." Shadow called, he approached him and tapped his shoulder when he failed to get his attention.

Mephiles noticed him and took one earphone off. He stared at him annoyingly, "what?"

"You can NOT tell me you don't have a crush with Silver when he literally laid on top of you at the pool."

"That was only because I almost drowned him, I feel sorry for him." The younger twin shrugged. "It's not a crush."

Shadow still couldn't believe him. He sat on the desk and folded his arms over his chest.

"I don't believe you. When you almost drowned Espio you never acted that way."

"Now THAT one was intentional, so I don't feel sorry for him." Mephiles pointed. He took off his second earphone and tapped on his phone to pause the music. "He can die for all I care."

"So you care about Silver?" The older twin raised his brow, "dude that's a crush."

"I'm not an idiot, that's not a crush. He just became my new favorite member of the cheerleaders." Mephiles said and made the other smirk playfully.

"Favorite? Who was it before?"

"No one. He's the first member I can connect with easily." He leaned back on his chair and shrugged.

"Okay, you're definitely an idiot because that's totally a crush."

"As if I didn't notice how close you were with Sonic by the pool." Mephiles retorted.

"I only interacted with him because I feel sorry that you had to drag him to the water." Shadow claimed, "you really need to stop doing that." He pointed at him.

Mephiles was unamused. He raised his brow and thought to himself, "I can't believe Silver told me Sonic has a crush on this weirdo..."

"How's your ex?"

Shadow facepalmed with both hands and groaned loudly, visibly uncomfortable and annoyed at the question. He put his hands down and got off the table with a low grunt.

"I hate you." Shadow mumbled and left the room.

Mephiles snickered and put his earphones back as he mumbled to himself, "glad he still hates her."
