Chapter 15 - Flyer Stunt

After the study session, Sonic and the twins had lunch together with the pizza Shadow had ordered. He also ordered some pasta and drinks. They all sat in the living room, watching TV as they eat their food.

"Hey Shadow, we should go somewhere tomorrow." Mephiles spoke. He was leaning back on the armrest with his feet on the couch. Sonic and Shadow sat together on the other couch.

"Somewhere...where?"

"I don't know." Mephiles shrugged, "I don't wanna stay at home on Sunday, I wanna go out."

"Why don't you just take Silver out on a date?" Shadow asked with a smirk, it made Sonic almost choke on his pasta.

"Again," the other pointed his finger up, "not my crush and NOT my boyfriend."

"Oh yeah, I wanna see how you react if someday someone in our team tries to get close with Silver."

"Shadow he doesn't even talk to anyone besides to Sonic, Scourge, and us." Mephiles rolled his eyes.

"And if he does?" Shadow raised his brow.

"What– is he not allowed to have new friends? How possessive do you think I am??"

"Very." Shadow smugged. "You forgot you almost drowned that one kid that took your swimming board? And that time you didn't wanna share a ball at the other kids at the park? And that one time you–"

"Oh my god shut up." Mephiles groaned.

"Hey Sonic, how chatty is Silver with everyone in your class?" Shadow suddenly turned to ask Sonic who had been sitting there, listening to their bickering.

"We don't really talk that much to our classmates. Though, I think he's trying to talk more with the cheer members and with you guys." Sonic answered.

"See? He'll talk to all of us eventually."

"Okay? That's good?" Mephiles said in a confused and annoyed tone. "You know what, I'll just go out on my own. Fuck you."

"Fuck you." Shadow replied.

Sonic really didn't know what to do and just kept eating his food. It felt awkward for a moment, but then the twins continued to chat about the news on TV like their bicker didn't even happen. Though, he was glad that they didn't stay silent or else it would've been very uncomfortable.

After their long break, Sonic and Shadow headed to the backyard. Shadow did offered Sonic that he could help with his cheer routine, so Sonic decided it'd be the perfect time to practice his stunt with Shadow being his spotter.

"Scourge wanted to see if I could be flyer, so I'm gonna need your help to lift me up for a few times." Sonic said while he was stretching his arms and legs.

"Have you practiced this before?" Shadow asked, his hands on his hips.

"I only do normal stunts, I don't usually do flyer stunts because I didn't have anyone to practice with." The azure one chuckled, "now that I think about it, this might end up with both of us getting bruised."

"Aw come on, how hard is it to lift you up in the air?"

"Shadow, you're supposed to hold me on the foot." Sonic pointed.

"Yeah and I lifted both Mighty and Knuckles when they were injured before, I can hold you up just fine." Shadow said with a smug.

"Well if you say so." The other smiled, fully trusting the older hedgehog.

Sonic explained a couple of stunts that he wanted to try with Shadow, his options were limited due to only having one spotter. He also chose to do the easy ones just to be safe.

He was nervous, but he still trusted Shadow and placed his hands on both of the other's shoulders. He lifted his right foot and placed it on Shadow's palms.

"You sure you can hold me up there?" Sonic chuckled nervously.

"Yes, now jump and balance yourself." Shadow assured.

"Alright...on the count to three. One, two...three!" Sonic counted and lifted himself up as Shadow timed his jump and hold him up with both hands holding his feet.

They were a little wobbly, but after a few seconds they managed to balance each other.

"Oh my god, I can't believe I'm doing this." Sonic said anxiously.

"You're fine, you're not heavy." Shadow looked up at him, "you look amazing from down here, by the way." He flirted with a playful smirk.

"Sha- whoa!" Sonic almost lost his balance and he quickly hold Shadow's head so he could stay still. "Sh- Shadow you're making me embarrassed here!" He whined and blushed.

"What? It's true." The older one snickered.

"Okay, focus." Sonic sighed in annoyance. Despite Shadow being his crush, he still took his cheerleading activity seriously.

Sonic stood up straight and carefully move his body to form the heel stretch position, then he continued to do the scorpion position. He was so focused that he never realized that Shadow was staring at him in awe the entire time.

"Okay, I guess this is easier than I expected." Sonic smiled in relief, slowly undoing his position.

"You're so stretchy."

At that moment Sonic finally fell from the shocking word Shadow just said to him. Thankfully, Shadow caught him in his arms. Sonic quickly covered his face with both hands and started whining and mumbling something.

"Are you okay?" Shadow asked worryingly.

Sonic uncovered his face and stared at the other upsettingly with red tinted cheeks. "Don't say weird stuff while I'm balancing on your hands!" He complained.

"That was weird? I was complimenting you. You have a very flexible body." He smiled.

"I kn- mmmnnn." Sonic covered his face again.

"Wanna do it again?"

"Stop stop- put me down for now." Sonic whined quietly, his head was hot from the embarrassment.

"Well if I'm gonna put you down might as well make you sit here, there's no way I'm letting your butt touch the grass." Shadow said casually as he walk towards one of the pool chairs.

Though, that only made Sonic's face redder that it almost felt like his brain was steaming.

Meanwhile, Mephiles was staring at them through the window while holding a cup of iced chocolate. He grabbed his phone and took a picture of the two hedgehogs outside then sent it to Silver.

"This guy's not scared to flirt at all, Silver's gonna squeal when he sees this." He chuckled and walked away.
