Peter and Ned were in the school library to study for their final exams, which were starting in a week's time. Ned's knee was continuously bouncing because of nervousness, due to which the table on which they were studying was shaking slightly. "Stop doing that. It's disturbing Ned."
Ned immediately stopped and muttering apology. Peter frowned at his friend's odd behaviour. Peter got up to get some more books but his ears perked when he heard Andrianna's name. He followed the source and found some students reading the newspaper. His eyes widened with worry when he read the headline, 'Iron Man's daughter Andrianna Stark joined the Avengers to help defeat the Ultron.' He grabbed one newspaper from the shelf and looked at the date, 'May 6, 2015'
It was published two days ago; he had been busy preparing for his exams and didn't know what was happening. Sure, he heard people gossiping about the new villain, Ultron, Ned had also told him about that but he hadn't thought that she would be there. And why wouldn't she, Afterall she was an Avenger.
Pushing his glasses with his index finger, Peter dashed towards Ned, with the newspaper still in hand. He turned a corner and stopped dead in his track when his brown eyes met with Andrianna's blue ones. Relief washed over him as he saw her in front of him, breathing and alive. He opened his mouth to ask her, if she was alright, but closed it.
Her words had made a deep wound in his heart, and though he was still a bit angry at her for her behaviour he still had missed her. Andrianna rubbed her arms and took a small step towards him and subconsciously he did the same. "Hey." She whispered so lightly that he wouldn't have heard her if it weren't for the silent library. Silence fills the library as they kept staring at each other full of hidden emotions, that even they weren't ware of, "Did you get injured in the battle?" Peter asked softly taking another step towards her.
Andrianna's eyes filled with tears as she burst into tears, her head was bowed in shame of her past actions. Peter quickly filled in the distance between them and hugged her tightly. She cried into his shoulder apologising repeatedly for her behaviour. She didn't care about the other students peeking from the shelf to enjoy the drama, she didn't give a damn about what they thought of her of. She cried from sorrow, from loss and from hurt. "You are making me emotional guys." Ned said at the verge of crying.
Andrianna laughed while crying at his typical behaviour. Ned joined him and the group tightly held on to each other, crying, but not with sorrow; they cried with happiness.
