Steve in his uniform along with Andrianna who was wearing a suit similar to Natasha's, strode through an underpass, then jogged onto a private runway, heading for a grounded chopper. Just then an electro-disabler slammed onto the chopper. The duo looked up and saw Iron Man and War Machine descending.
" Wow, it's so weird how you run into people at the airport. Don't you think that's weird?" Tony asked Rhodes in a sarcastic tone. " Definitely weird." Rhodes replied. "And you..." Tony turned to Andrianna, "You are grounded. For your entire life!" " Hear me out, Tony. That doctor, the psychiatrist, he's behind all of this." Andrianna said with a soft tone, in hopes of calming him down. She knew he was hella angry, and didn't want to argue with him as it would make the matters worse. However, before she could persuade him, T'Challa entered the area by leaping over a truck. " Captain." "Your highness."
"Anyway, Ross gave me 36 hours to bring you in. That was 24 hours ago. Can you help a brother out?" "You're after the wrong guy." Said Steve. " Your judgment is askew. Your old war buddy killed innocent people yesterday." "And there are five more super soldiers just like him. I can't let the doctor find them first, Tony. I can't."
"Steve." At Natasha's voice both Steve and Andrianna turned to look at the direction and found her looking at them with a grave look. "You know what's about to happen. Do you really wanna punch your way out of this one?" Steve was about reply to her, but he stopped when he saw Grace walking towards them. He was shocked to see her helping Tony. "You-You were helping Bucky before, why are you leaving him alone now?" Steve asked surprised with Grace's decision.
"Because she knows who's right and what's the best for us." Tony said. "Any. I want you to trust me. I won't do anything that would harm you or him. And-And I know that it sounds weird, but... but you gotta trust me on this. I w-"
"Really mom? You seriously think I would believe you?"
"Any please-"
"No! You were alive all along but didn't come to meet me for once. When we first met after years, it was when we were kidnapped by HYDRA. I thought we would finally be together. I was ready to forgive you for abandoning me. But you ran off. And then when we met again, in Romania, the look in your eyes... It felt as though I am a burden to you."
"That's not true, sweetheart, I wou-" Grace stopped herself, she had no words. "Just come with us." She said in an emotionless tone. Andrianna scoffed and tried to control her emotions. Seeing both Steve and Andrianna distracted, Tony called for Spider-Man. "All right, I've run out of patience. Underoos!" Spider-Man shot a web, stealing Steve's shield and binding his and Andrianna's hands, as he flipped in the air and landed on a truck with a hero pose. "Nice job, kid." Tony praised.
"Thanks. Well, I could've stuck the landing a little better. It's just the new suit... Well, it's nothing, Mr. Stark. It's--it's perfect. Thank you." Peter said being overly excited, as this was his first mission with Tony. "Yeah, we don't really need to start a conversation." Tony said trying to stop Peter from embarrassing him, further.
"Okay. Cap . . . Captain. Big fan, I'm Spider-Man" He then looked towards Andrianna and continued, ". And Oh! I love you too-No! I mean as an Avenger. Yo-You're great." He showed a thumbs up at the end.
" Yeah, we'll talk about it later. Just-" Tony tried to stop him but he was cut off by Peter as greeted everyone, as though they were out for a picnic and not fighting each other.
"Hey, everyone." Peter waved nervously.
" . . . Good job."
"You've been busy." Steve taunted.
"And you've been a complete idiot. Dragging in Clint. 'Rescuing' Wanda from a place she doesn't even want to leave, a safe place. Involving Andrianna in this mess. I'm trying to keep . . . I'm trying to keep you from tearing the Avengers apart."
" You did that when you signed." Steve said in a flat tone. Tony turned his gaze to Andrianna and raised an eyebrow, "What about you, ma'am?" Tony asked her sarcastically. Peter looked at the two of them, confused. He was surprised to find her here, but more than that he was nervous that she may find out who he is. "I'll do what I think is the best for my father." Andrianna replied stressing on the word, 'father'.
Tony was taken aback for a moment but then he got back in his character. Turning to Steve he said, "Alright, we're done. You're gonna turn Barnes over, you're gonna come with us. NOW! Because it's us! Or a squad of J-SOC guys . . . with no compunction about being impolite."
Both Andrianna and Steve looked aside when they heard Sam's voice through the comms. " We found it. Their Quinjet's in hanger five, north runway."
Steve held his hands up and Clint shot the web off., while Andrianna used her pyrokinesis and burned the web from her hand. "Alright, Lang." Steve signalled Scott, who was on Steve's shield. Sensing that something was wrong, Peter tried to warn the others, "Hey, guys, something-" However Scott got back to his original size, retrieving Steve's shield." I believe this is yours, Captain America."
" Oh, great. Alright, there's two on the parking deck. One of them's Maximoff, I'm gonna grab her. Rhodes, you want to take Cap?" Tony asked. " Got two in the terminal, Wilson and Barnes." Rhodes informed his team.
"Barnes is mine!" T'Challa said and ran off to get Bucky. Andrianna went to block him; however, Grace stopped her. Without wasting a second both engaged in combat fighting.
" Hey, Mr. Stark, what should I do?" Peter asked Tont.
"What we discussed. Keep your distance. Web 'em up. And look out for Andrianna."
"Okay, copy that!"
Seeing that Andrianna was busy, Steve ran up to T'Challa to stop him, from pursuing Bucky. "Move, Captain. I won't ask a second time." T'Challa warned, but Steve ignored it and they both started fighting.
On the other hand, Scott was facing Natasha, " Look, I really don't want to hurt you." Scott said, not wanting to hit a woman. " I wouldn't stress about it. " Saying this Natasha kicked him in the groin and he miniaturized, throwing her head over heels, literally. She zapped him off her wrist and he slammed into a nearby truck, leaving a small dent.
Meanwhile, Because of her experience Grace was easily able to defeat Andrianna, by landing a kick square on her chest, which made Andrianna fall on her back, with a thud. Grace was then about to capture Andrianna in her forcefield, but instead she beside Andrianna as Steve's shield hit her. Grace's eyes were glowing purple and Andrianna's were glowing with fiery yellow colour, with rage. Without her notice sparkles of fire started appearing in Andrianna's fingertips, she was losing control of her fire. And a fire left uncontrolled is extremely dangerous.
Grace noticed this and decided to drop her plan of helping Tony. "Go. Bucky needs you." Grace said gesturing with her head towards the terminal, where Bucky and Sam were. Andrianna's eyes started gaining their original blue colour. As soon as Andrianna left, Grace pretended that she was hurt, so she hit her head on a nearby truck and pretended to have a concussion. She closed her eyes and thought to take a nap in the middle of a fight.
She was extremely exhausted. As soon as she closed her eyes, all the memories that she created with her daughter rushed back, along with the reason, why she pretended to be dead. Grace knew that she had to clear the misunderstanding between her and her daughter soon or it will be too late.
