The smile Alex showed you felt like it could mean a million different things. You got up and started walking around hoping you'd walk into Alex but no sign of him. You gave up after half a hour and sat back down and ordered a drink.

Your friend saw you sat alone and came to come and sit with you. "y/n, are you okay? you've been off all day."

"Im fine, Not feeling very well." You lied.

Your friend showed some pity then left to go and join everyone else. You decided to leave early, you knew you were going to find Alex so you took your purse and left. As you were walking out of the venue you were looking on your phone about to order a uber when you accidentally walked into someone.

"Shit sorry." You say as you quickly look up.

You turned to see Alex. Out of all the people you could of walked into you walked into Alex.

"Its fine." He said looking you in the eye. You could feel tension growing as you both just stared into each others eyes. "You been okay?" He questioned.

"Eh well, been better." You awkwardly laugh "You been alright?"

"Yeah, better then ever." He smiled. Just as he did a gorgeous blonde girl ran up to him, wrapping her arms around his arm.

"Whose this babe." She smiled at him.

"Just a friend my love ill be over in a second." He said kissing her forehead before she ran back to where she came from.

It hurt hearing Alex call her that as that was your favourite pet name he would call you, it felt like you had a hole in your heart.

"You two are cute." You say taking a gulp.

"I can see your upset y/n." Alex smirked. "I can read you like a book."

"What? No? Im not arsed." You lie and cross your arms.

Alex just laughed. "Cute when your mad anyway must go. It was nice talking to you y/n." He said and walked away.

For a moment you stood there in shock, aching at the heartbreak. You still felt guilty that you cheated on him but now he has moved on, there was nothing you could do about it.

A few months pass, you forgot about Alex as you focus more on your career and put the dating life behind you. However, it was a normal night after work and you had just got home. You walked into the kitchen and began making a cup of tea. Your putting the sugars in when you hear your phone go off. You looked over to see it was a message from Alex, you immediately picked up your phone.

y/n: Sure, I'm home.

Alex: On my Way.

You placed your phone back on the counter, you were confused. Why would he want to come round when he has a girlfriend, you knew Alex wasn't the cheating type so the idea of it baffled you.

10 minute's later there was a knock on the door, you immediately got up and ran to the door. You opened it to see Alex stood there. He looked so
lost and helpless.

"Al whats wrong?" You say worried.

"I miss you y/n, can i come in and talk?" Alex says wiping his eyes.

"Of course." You say and move for him to walk in.

He walked in and sat down, He sat with his head in his hands.

"Al whats wrong." You say turning to him.

"I miss us y/n, me and my girlfriend broke up." He said looking at you.

"But i cheated, I didn't mean to but i did. Why would you wanna date me again?" You say shocked.

"Because i know you, you aren't like that. I genuinely believe you are not capable of doing such things." He said and put his hand on your thigh.

You threw your arms around him, crying into his shoulder. "I'm so sorry about it Al, I was absolutely pissed I don't remember anything."

"I know love, i know and i forgive you." He says kissing your forehead.

"Thank you Alex. I love you so much." You say pulling him into a tight hug.
