Chapter 15: Affair

Miguel's POV:

Flashback

Age 11 at Destiny Palace

Mother has finally had the princess that has been long awaited by me and Pedro we will both be elder brothers to our sister. Father is away visiting another kingdom on royal business he has taken Pedro along because he thinks he might benefit from learning something. So I have been left here in the castle with mother. I was sent to bed early so I wouldn't hear what was happening as though I wouldn't hear anything through the night, but when I was awakened this morning I was informed that I have a sister.

After having breakfast I went to mother's room to greet her and meet my sister finally."Prince Miguel" "Morning mother. Is that her?" She is sitting upright in bed with the baby in her arms wrapped in a blanket. "Yes dearest. Come sit next to me so that you may hold her." I crawl up the bed next to her and she gently hands me the baby she is very small in my arms. She has father's eye color and it looks like she will have golden blond hair like both me and mother. "Have you given her a name mother? what shall we know her as?" I hope it is a name she will grow to love and one that suits her.

"Yes her name is Beth Tinni. She is named first after your grandmother your father's mother." I do not like that name. Grandma Beth was a horrible woman she would always use to treat mother horribly she never loved mother so I never liked her as well. "I will call her Tinni it suits her better." I will make sure that father never miss treats her I will protect her always from everyone I will be great at that.

"King Carlos and Prince Pedro." they have arrived. "I have come to see the baby. Is it a girl?" Pedro paces in the room towards us and he comes to my side to see the baby. "Yes her name is Beth Tinni but I shall call her Tinni." I had him the baby with mother's help. "Careful now." Father just stands still at the door looking at us. "I shall like to call her Tinni as well more fitting." I am glad we agree. Tinni starts crying and Pedro hands her back to mother. She will be very loved by both her brothers that is guaranteed.

2 days earlier (Violene break)

I arrive during midday and I am already exhausted from the lecture Carlos will give me on why I chose my dagger event instead of being here with the family. I walk in the palace and it is decorated to the fullest. "Will, where is everyone?" The staff seem to be running faster than usual. "They are all in the garden your Highness." The butler moves on and I start pacing to the garden. Pedro and Carlos are doing target practice shooting arrows while mother and Tinni are having tea.

"Miguel Brother is here." Tinni sees me first and she runs for a hug and I spin her bring her in for a hug. "What have you brought for me this time brother?" she always looking to get gifts from me if I do not then she assumes I do not love her. "I brought you some of the best paints you said you started painting so that's what I got you I sent it up to your room." her smile shows I picked the right gift. "Thank you brother I shall see if I can manage to paint you a picture as a thank you."

"Finally you come to greet your mother. How have you been dearest?" We hug. We use to hug all the time but we only do so rarely now because we are not close anymore. "I have been well mother, I would assume you are well too." I sit across from her on the table. "Will you not greet your father?" He does not seem to care. "He is occupied with brother I will not interfere." I wish we could ignore one another for these coming days. "Ow!" We turn to see Tinni on the ground with her face to the ground.

"Beth! How many times have I told you to watch how you walk. You will scar yourself you are a girl not a boy who will marry a girl who has marks all over her body. It is so displeasing." Mother doesn't get up to check on her she shouts from her seat as Tinni looks at the ground in embarrassment. "Claudine please get her treated in her room make sure she changes her gown as well. Make haste we should have dinner no long from now." Tinni is lead away and father and Pedro approach where we are seated.
