"Bigby, would you like to share with the group?"

"Bigby, would you like to share with the group?"

I looked up, noticing the silence that had settled heavily over the room. All eyes were on me, like I was the odd one out. Which, to be fair, I probably was. I took a deep breath, preparing myself to speak.

"Yeah, sure," I muttered, my voice rougher than expected. I cleared my throat, knowing I couldn't back out now. "I've been working on keeping the anger in check."

I paused, glancing over to Dr. Blaise. She gave me an encouraging but insistent nod, like I needed to say more. I sighed and continued, leaning back in my chair.

"But it's not easy. Life's been...hell lately. I'm doing what I can to manage it, but it feels like the whole damn city's got it out for me."

I shifted in my seat, catching a glimpse of the weather outside. Outside the window, snow fell slowly, blanketing the streets in white. Strangely enough, it felt like a bit of a relief, getting this off my chest.

Dr. Blaise leaned forward, her pen hovering above her notepad. "Why do you feel like the city is against you, Bigby?"

I took another deep breath, my fingers drumming on the chair's armrest. "Well, I wasn't exactly the nicest guy in the past. I've done things. Bad things that I'm not proud of. And people don't forget. They'll judge you, even if you're trying to change."

I glanced out the window again, watching the snow swirl. "And it feels like... no matter what good I do, everyone finds a way to throw it back in my face."
