While Martha marched off to her next lesson, I sat there getting distracted by my thoughts. ' does she really know any information about my mother?' It was hard to believe that anyone would as my mother had been gone for years.
The second bell ( meaning if you don't get to class in 1 minute you WILL get a detention) rang and I awoke from my own imaginary world. I rushed to my next class , art.
I was late. Mr Bobbin was not happy. I got a 10 minute detention for break time the next day. The rest of the lesson was the slightest bit enjoyable, my thoughts controlled me once again. I was waiting and waiting for the time to come for Martha to tell me what she knows. Maybe it was finally time to find out, I've been waiting for years.
As I approached the tables outside the library ,I saw Martha sitting there with wandering her eyes.
" Hi Martha" I said happily.
" Oh Hiiii ! " She said her golden hair bounced as she jumped.
" um ... Do you have the information?" I asked curiously.
She took out a piece of long paper from her tribal printed backpack and handed it to me .
" it's all on here ... Well I think " Martha said.
I tried my hardest to read the faded letters on the crumbled paper.
" It's hard to see what it says " I said squinting. The thought flashed into my brain like lightning.
" If the letters are faded... And the paper is in this state... It must be very old, I can make out what the first words say ' Open the door ...' "
" OOoo " Martha said enthusiastically " it might be a riddle or something "
I glanced at her " it is " I said shocked.
