"It's lights out and away we go!"

...

"Norris holds his pole position around the first corner! Leclerc close behind, OH collision between Magnussen and Ricciardo!"

...

"It's the debut for rookie Adamoli, she's speeding through lap eleven with ease, holding an incredibly impressive seventh place for her first formula one race."

...

"Norris 14.3 ahead of Leclerc in second place, with five laps to go. Will the predictions of a possibility of world champion for young Norris be correct?

....

"Russel in sixth hits the curb sending him off the track! Adamoli overtakes! The rookie moves up to fifth!"

...

"And thats the checkered flag! Lando Norris takes first!"

...

"Oh my god..." I whispered at first.

"Incredible Emilia, absolutely incredible!" Antonio repeats through the earpieces lodged tightly in my ears.

"OH MY GOD!" I scream now, the reality setting in. Fifth place, in my Formula One debut. My hands shaking with the adrenaline pumping through my veins, finally being pulled out of the intense state of concentration i'd been delved into the past hour or so. My entire body humming with excitement. I shot one of my hands out of the top of the car waving to the crowd with an overwhelming sense of enthusiasm.

I pulled myself from the car jumping to the floor, my legs tempting to give out as they touched the ground. Everything was so loud yet so quiet. Like a blanket had been placed upon me, I could hear shouts and feel numerous hands patting my back but my thundering heart somehow drowned all of that out. My cheeks ached with the incredibly large smile that was plastered on my face hidden beneath my helmet. Finally I saw who placed on the podium positions, as their cars lined up besides each other. First place went too Norris, second was Sainz and third, "Charles!" I yelled. Charles's head still within his helmet whipped towards me, he pushed away from the barricade of Ferrari workers congratulating him as I quickly rushed towards him. "Congratulations! First podium of the season!" I said whilst wrapping my arms around him.

"Emi do not dare congratulate me when you got fifth in your debut! Are you kidding me you're amazing!" He shouted lifting the visor of his helmet up as I did the same. God my cheeks hurt so bad. I need to stop smiling.

"Beginners luck I guess!" I laughed.

"Oh we both know that wasn't beginners luck," he added with a soft chuckle.

Champagne flew in all directions, even from the ground I could feel sprinkles of it. The three drivers managed too drench each other within the first three seconds of opening the bottles. Carlos practically drowning Lando as he aimed it directly at his face and held it there for far too long. Charles's body hunched over from laughter as he watched Norris half fighting for his life. The race had finished a while ago and I still hadn't stopped smiling, thankfully though my shaking hands had well and truly settled. As I watched Charles celebrate his first podium of the season I couldn't help but reminisce on the past.
