An old yellow school bus stops outside of a huge two story country house with a spacious lawn. Sidney gets off the bus and headed to the front door. As Sidney got closer, the house appeared to be much bigger.

Once Sidney got inside her house, she headed upstairs to her bedroom and called her friend, Tatum. "You sure I can stay over? My dad won't be back until Sunday." Sidney spoke into her phone while she sat on the couch, staring off into the distance. "Sideny, it's no problem. I'll pick you up after practice." Tatum replied back, making a small smile appear on Sidney's face.

"Tell your mum I said thanks." Sidney said. "Yeah don't worry, I will. Are you...okay? You know...with everything that's going on..." Tatum asked feeling worried for her friend. "Uh-huh, I'm alright I guess, it's just...you know...the police and the reporters...it brings it all back." She hesitantly said. It's not that Sidney didn't trust Tatum, it's was just hard for her to speak about it and Tatum knew that.

"Please don't worry Sidney. Everything will be okay. I'll be there by seven, I promise." Tatum said, trying to comfort her stressed and upset friend. "Thanks Tatum, it really means a lot to me." Sidney thanks, feeling much better now that she spoke about the thing that kills her to even think about. "Later."

Sidney hung up the phone and took a seat at her computer, pressing a button to turn it on. She sat in front of it staring at the blue screen...her own reflection staring right back at her.

Sidney comes downstairs, in her arms are a change of clothes, her toothbrush and some of her make up. She opens a hall closet and pulls out a small overnight bag from the top shelf. Walking into the living room, she puts all of her belongings into the bag and plops down on the couch once she's done.

Grabbing the TV remote from the small table in front, she turns on the TV. Instantly, a news reporter comes onto the screen.

REPORTER #1

"The entire nation was shocked today, by all the teen murders in North Carolina..." The news reporter started to say before Sidney quickly changed the channel.

REPORTER #2

"The Bureau State of Investigation has joined forces with the local authorities to help catch the person behind what the Governor has called the most heinous..." Another reporter started to say but Sidney quickly changes the channel again.

When the screen switches, a familiar face pops onto the screen...one she doesn't like.

On the screen in front of her, is Gale Weathers, who is standing in front of the school.

"This isn't the first time the small town of Bayboro has endured such tragedy. Only a year ago, wife and mother, Maureen Prescott, was found raped and murdered..." She continued but Sidney blocked her out, too distracted by the photo on the TV.

An old black and white photo fills the screen. A woman who was very beautiful but also very familiar.

Sidney's eyes were frozen, mesmerised by the image of her mother. Not being able to handle the pain anymore, she turns the TV off, her eyes travelling to the clock on the end table.

5:45pm.

Her eyes then move to the small framed photo next to it, the same black and white photo that was shown on TV stares back at her...a healthy and vibrant woman. An older version of Sidney.

The upset girl curls up on the couch, closing her eyes tight.

The clock on the end table reads 7:15pm and Sidney is fast asleep on the couch. Suddenly the loud ringing sound of the phone echoes throughout the large house. Sidney leaps up, grabbing the phone.
