(A / N: This chapter is a continuation of 8| Stalked)
Aurora jumped at the sudden sound of the phone ringing. She quickly found the light switch for the living room and flicked it on, illuminating the fairly big room. Once the light was on, Aurora made her way over to a table where the phone was resting.
"Hello?" She asked while her eyebrows furrowed. She wondered who it could be calling her, especially at the time it was. It was completely silent on the other end of the line before a familiar voice spoke. "Hey Rora!" Stu cheerfully said. "Oh! Hey Stu! How are you?" Aurora asked as a bright smile took over her face. "I'm alright I guess, but do you want to know what would've made me feel better?" He teasingly asked. "What?" Aurora replied curiously. "If I got to see your gorgeous face today." He teasingly answered which made the brunette giggle.
"Oh Stu! You flatter me." She said in between giggles as her face flushed a bright, hot, red. "I do my best but on a serious note...are you alright? Billy and I were worried when we didn't see you." Stu said and you could practically hear the sadness in his voice. An unknown feeling appeared inside of Aurora. "I'm sorry, Stu. I didn't feel comfortable with going to school you know...with all of the murders going on..." She said with a slight frown. Aurora felt slightly worse knowing that Stu and Billy were expecting her and she didn't even turn up.
It went silent again before he spoke up. "I don't mean to be rude, Rora, but I need to go. I have...things to do." Stu suddenly said, out of the blue. "No, it's alright Stu. I guess I'll see you at school tomorrow." Aurora replied. "Yeah, I'll see you tomorrow. Have a good night." Stu said, then the brunette hung up.
Once Aurora hung up, she walked over to the soft couch and sat down. She knew her mother wouldn't be home anytime soon, so Aurora turned on the TV. After a minute passed, the phone started to ring again.
With a sigh, Aurora got up and made her way over to the small object.
Aurora's heart sank at the loud ringing sound of the phone. She quickly found the light switch for the living room and flicked it on, illuminating the fairly big room. Once the light was on, Aurora carefully approached the phone which hadn't stopped ringing.
"Hello?" The brunette questioned. She was expecting to hear Stu's voice or someone else she knew. "Hello." A dark, scratchy voice replied, strangely calm. It had Aurora confused at who it could be, until it dawned on her.
"Ha, ha, ha. Very funny Stu." Aurora sarcastically responded, thinking it was her lanky friend playing a game with her. A few seconds passed by before the person spoke again. "Who is that? Is he like...your boyfriend or something?" The unknown stranger asked in a teasing tone which made Aurora laugh. "Really Stu? Was this the thing that you had to do?" She inquired as she rested her hand on her hip.
"Maybe, maybe not..." The unknown caller said. Aurora was waiting for 'Stu' to continue talking, but the person stopped. "What are you doing with your voice? It doesn't sound like you at all." Aurora questioned which earned a dark laugh from the mystery caller. "That's because...I'm not Stu..." The unknown caller coldly stated. The brunette's heart dropped.
"Who is this?" She slightly demanded, masking the fear that was slowly rising inside her. "You tell me." The caller retorted, throwing it back into Aurora's face. "I don't fucking think so." She instantly scoffed out.
The unknown caller was out of their mind if they thought she'd tell them her name, but little did Aurora know...the stranger already knew her name and a lot of other things that regarded her.
