When they both got back to the cabin the memories came flooding back like the angriest of tsunamis hitting her all at once, she stood still cold sweats pouring down her back, tears sliding down her face causing black streaks to run down her cheeks from her mascara "Mother" she whispered, Stephanie turned looked at her sister in the face, hatred shining in her eyes "How could you bring me back here?" she snarled, "What do you mean? We was having fun just a minute ago" Stacy had confusion written all over her face, sadness was also there joined closely with hurt, Stephanie could see this very much so and it hurt her to see her sister like this but she couldn't help herself since her mother died all she felt was loneliness, regret and mainly loss and now was not the time to turn on her baby sister "I'm so sorry I just miss her so much" she cried out landing on the floor with her hands in her face crying so had no noise was coming out of her mouth. Stacy knelt down and pulled her sister by the arms as she wrapped the around her, she held her sister head on her chest as she slowly traced her finger through her hair, it was comforting it slowly relaxed Stephanie, they sat like that for a while as Stephanie listened to her sister's heart beat as she just cried quietly while holding onto to the last person she loved. The minutes passed and finally Stacy spoke "Shh, don't cry sweetly, I miss her too so much but we need to move on with our lives, and the only way I will is finding her killer" her voice was quiet and so peaceful, she was good at calming a person down but instead it sent more anger to Stephanie, she pushed her sister off her and stood her arms down by her side. "There is no killer, it was an accident and when you realize that the better" she made her point then walked in the cabin slamming the door behind her, how can Stacy think it was murder, it was no murder it was an accident even Stephanie knew this, she ran up the stairs then looked through the window seeing her sister slowly come in the cabin.

It was now night time and Stephanie couldn't sleep a wink, she didn't speak to her sister since the incident which made Stephanie have the bad case of the guilt's, all she could think about was what she said to her, even If it wasn't insulting but that was not the point. Stacy strongly believes that it was murder that was involved in her mother's death and Stephanie should respect that but how could she, it would be the worst thing in the world if it was true but Stephanie knew it was not so she did not think of it. The sky was bright tonight, the stars were shining on the lake making the resort sparkle like a diamond, it reminded Stephanie of the good memories that she had of when she was here as a child, her and Stacy sneaking out in the dark, daring each other to jump in the icy cold water which ended up Stephanie taking the first plunge. She could feel it now the cold air hitting her face as she jumped in the water, feeling the icy cold lake hitting her back, creeping into her top making her nipples hard and sore but laughing and smiling even when she was in pain. Stephanie smiled to herself as she looked through the window holding her hot cup of coffee in her hand until she saw that young boy again this time seeing him running up the deck standing near the end holding his hands to his face, still wearing those ripped rags as clothes. Stephanie looked at him for a while making sure he was alone which he was, the last thing she wanted to do was run back outside to that lake, her heart was pounding in her chest as she watched the young boy alone in the dark. Stephanie has no choice, a need to protect started creeping in, so  she had no choice, she needed to do the right thing so Stephanie stood up putting her bright yellow cup on the side and headed to the door.

For some reason Stephanie had a horrible feeling like this was the wrong thing to do but how could that be right, this little lad was all alone with ripped clothing and no parent with him so Stephanie had to react on that and nothing more, she could not leave a poor defenceless child alone. Even if her instincts was telling her to turn back and go back to the safety of her bed she had to make sure this child was safe first. Slowly she came closer to the door of her cabin as the boy was bent down cradling himself, his body faced away. Slowly she turned the knob of the door and took a step outside "Hello sweetie. Are you okay" she shouted out in the darkness. Stephanie stood on the step,  the cold air hitting her pyjamas bringing a horrible cold wind into the cabin. There was no answer from the boy just little murmurs of cries.  What was weird however was the little boy standing at the end of the dock with his hands to his face not moving or even attempting to come near the only adult but at the same time Stephanie felt a arrow go through her chest piercing her heart for the boy who was alone "Sweetie why don't you come here I have an cup of hot chocolate" Stephanie called out a second time this time saying it with a slight smile on her face to show that she was no body that was going to hurt the helpless lad but it didn't work he was still there crying with his hands to his face. Stephanie had no choice she had to go to the end of the dock where the young lad was and where her mother drowned, so she slipped in to the long black coat and headed to the young boy.
