Stephanie felt guilty about her dismissive attitude to her sister, she didn't want her know what she has been doing, she for one did not want to worry her, she didn't want her to think that this was all done to distract from the pain crushing into her chest from the lost of her mother. She also didn't want to distract herself from her mission she really needed to know everything that she was seeing especially the little boy.  After an hour Stephanie came down the stairs, she soon spotted Stacy who was sitting alone  by the lake. Stephanie went to the kitchen for a cup of coffee, she switched the kettle on and watched her sister through the window, she hated being here in the place where her mother drowned and she didn't want the past to repeat itself especially to the only person she loves. Watching Stacy alone made Stephanie heart ache, after a few minutes the kettle went off, steam shooting out of the top, like a tiny volcano, she put one spoonful of coffee in the blue circular cup with no milk and two sugar cubes it was much better than the real stuff. Stephanie walked back over to the window and stared out at the lake that looked nothing but bliss when in reality it was probably one of the worst places to be.

It was becoming dark now and Stacy had come back in ages ago "So are you going to tell me what all the papers were about?" Stacy asked again this time much more firmer, Stephanie was shocked by this she didn't think it was a big deal but then again she knows that Stacy does not like secrets so she just have to try and make something up without going on about her little secret mission "It's just to take my mind off mum that's all. Just a nice read" Stephanie responding taking a bite of her cheese burger "So a person who is trying to forget about their mum reads a lot of papers about murders where they live" this caused Stephanie to slam her burger down. Stacy stopped eating as her eyes went wide with surprise "You went into my room" Stephanie's voice became cold and cruel all of a sudden, Stephanie loved her privacy and the last person she thought would invade this was her sister. "You was acting suspicious I'm your sister tell me what's going on?" Stacy voice remained the same as she spoke quietly and calm"Fine I thought about everything you said about mum being murdered and I thought I'll see if anything like that happened before and something did so I thought I'll keep reading" Stacy looked at her with her eyebrows arched in suspicion. She relaxed and finally said "Okay then well I'm going to bed" Stacy stood from her chair  "You don't want to talk about it anymore" Stephanie said in a sarcastic tone "No" Stacy snapped obviously not liking the sarcasm as she went stomping up the stairs and in to her room. Stephanie stayed where she remained her half eaten burger on the table. She was too angry to go to eat or even go to sleep so she just laid across the settee watching some rubbish cartoons as she got lost in her thoughts. After a few minutes the room went cold even though it was the summer and the air was supposed to humid even in the darkness so Stephanie walked over to the cupboard and grabbed a blanket to wrap around herself. She sat back down and still shivered, Stephanie started to feel uncomfortable, especially when she started to hear a cry from a child. Stephanie knew who it was and she really wanted to help him, even if he was a ghost or a spirit or whatever people call the supernatural Stephanie needed to help him whatever it was that he needed. "I know who you are sweetie. I know what happened" she whispered as she stood back up and started to walk. She could hear the cry's become louder as she followed the distressing sound to the kitchen where the child sat again with his hands to his face, he was wearing the ragged clothes and those blood stains were still on his face. Stephanie tried to remember the boys name from the paper. "Rubin I know what happened, I need you to tell me or show me what you need" her voice became a tad louder but still so sweet and gentle. She was now next to the boy sitting up against the wall where the little boy had his hands, she put a hand out to him to touch his hand but instead of what she hoped was the complete opposite. He screamed his mouth becoming bigger than his face, he scratched her arm and then ran towards the wall and bent down as blood went over her PJ bottoms, tears welled up in her eyes but she did not show fear she stood up and walked back over towards the boy blood still pouring from her arm. "You can't go and scratch people it's not nice. What's the matter?" she asked her voice was now shaky and very quiet, this time she didn't reach out she was too scared to give anymore actions towards the boy, she just slowly sat next to him  "Rubin you need to show me what you need" this time the boy stood his back showing a lot of scratches and bruises it also showed his bending bones that stood out from anything else. They was broke and cracked, it took a lot from Stephanie to stop herself from heaving from the smell of death it was so bad that even the rats would have trouble staying there. He turned to face her, he had no eyes just blackness with blood dripping from the sockets he stood and watched Stephanie as she stood. She was now scared she didn't know what was going to happen but all he did was slowly raise his little hands and pointed to the lake, Stephanie turned and looked at what he was pointing towards "The lake. What about the lake?" she asked but when she turned back around he was gone, that was when Stephanie started to cry as she grabbed her scraped arm and went to the bathroom to patch it up thinking of another lie to tell her sister.
