22. SCARLET

"I want your company." I blurt out with a smile.

I can't believe im on him right now. My heart literally accelerated to the top.

"Well,I'm here..." He placed his finger under my chin. "...no matter what." He replied.

My smile vanished and I look away from him,my hands where on his hard chest and I wasn't expecting to be this close to him. Something in me told me he deserved to know  what happened to me back then,where I came from and why at first I hated shifters.

"I came from a poor town called Dark vill." I spoke quietly enough for him to hear.

He was silent for a moment then spoke, "I know that area,majority of humans belong there." I nod to his sentence.

"Yes,you see I was protected by mother but she was very ill,she'd find water in dangerous places,find scraps Of food from who knows where and she would shelter me in a dark cold cave just so she could raise me and live a good life." I told him. "I was truly happy she was by my side when shifters would harm us humans. It was a devastating past really and I hated your kind so much." I spoke coldly.

I had to carry this burden and survive on my own without her for two days when I was alone. I was angry that she met her fate and not me,I even turned away from Ethan his gaze made me remember the horrors he did to me.

Ethan slowly felt my cheeks and made me face him head one. "If you feel you're not ready to tell me because you still carry that hatred for me,I will understand Scarlet." His voice sounded disappointed.

He then hugged me closely. It was warm and comforting this made me remember what mom once said.

"Regardless of what the world is facing,I still believe there is hope for you even among shifters."

Is mom right? Is there truly hope for me and Ethan even the pack at hand? After all I'm his mate and I don't truly know how he really feels about me. I like him so much even after the threats and punishment he gave me but they can always be a another chance for someone,even though we are different human species.

I close my eyes and thought that he deserves to know  because his my mate.

"No you deserve to know everything because...I,I care about you so much."  I confess.

"I care about you too." His husky voice spoke as I break from his huge hug and looked up to him. "But I lost mother when a shifter devoured her alive,she told me to run for it,then some man kidnapped me,they checked me my virginity,when they saw I was accurate they rook me in a dangen and that's how I met Cassey." I think it I told him everything then the rest he knew after and I needed up here with him.

"If there was one thing that's made me angry was when you were almost sold too  some ugly man." I chuckle remembering that day well.

"Yeah. But did you have to kill those men that day." I awkwardly laugh.

"They did it without me knowing. Besides-" Ethan leaned his lips to mine but not kissing me.

"...how could anyone avoid your stunning beauty? You're beautiful and what makes it even better is when you're so close to me with that pretty voice in my ears. I'm sorry for your loss and what you went through but know this Scarlet-" He leaned his hand against my cheek.

"I'm always here for you." He groans as he smashed his lips on mine,starting off where we lest off as he firmly held my waist and I clung my arms around his neck,his majestic deep kiss sent me in an exciting position as I bring my body closer even to him.

We ate each other and the sounds of our lips doing  the talking made it harder for me as I couldn't take the pleasuring agony. Then Ethane surprised me as he attacked my neck with his nibbles and shallow bites.

"Scarlet. You're making me hard." He growls deeply and I pant a little at his sexy voice. If this keeps up i will hardly contain my virginity.

"I can break it and claim you mine." He groans,reading  my mind and that sentence made me bite my lip hard. His making me wet.

Suddenly we froze in our position,Ethan gaze was dark as he looked at the window with a firm pecking knock that interrupted us.

His wolf surfaced,I immediately got off him as i  was frighted when he opened the curtains  and a owl with big glowing eyes appeared.

"That's very creepy." It was black in colour it had to be creepy obviously.

The owl got on Ethans hand,I noticed it had a red thread and a rolled,sized paper tied around it's left leg. Ethan carefully removed it.

"I will respond by morning."  He say and the owl flies off. Ethane got back to his seat. His face furious when he unscrolled the paper and read what was their.

"Ethane is everything okay?" I asked him,he feels his jawline and sighs. "No darling. I will be having a guest over." He didn't seem happy at all.

"Who is coming? I'm sure it's nothing serious." I reply. Red eyes stared dead at me.

"Lila together with her father are coming over to discuss about our marriage arrangements." Shock immediately run through my body. She did not do that.

"But why! You told her off right?! Why is coming  here?" I was annoyed and irritated. He pushed her away right?

"I did Scarlet. You're are my mate,I'm sure she didn't  tell her old man about your whereabouts. She wants to use this issue against me. Then which also means her father had nothing to do with the attack or kidnapping. But the master mind was Lila herself. " Its all clear now.

She's after my man and her being Luna.

"We have to do something." I suggest. He gets up from his seat and walks up to me.

"I will fix this,if it means killing her I will do so just for you." He holds my hand firmly. I'm glad he wants me first.

"You should get some rest,I have to talk to Seth about this and fucking honestly it's not going to be an easy task tomorrow so I need you to be safe." I nod but I wanted in with what he was going  to do.

"But can't I be there? I want to know  stuff too." He places a kiss on my forehead.

"Not tonight love,now go sleep." He tells me. I am a upset but I trust he can handle it.

"Okay then." I sigh and I head to Ethan's room.

Something about tomorrow worries me so much that I sensed it might hurt me or Ethan. But at all cost I will protect my mate too from that forced marriage. Lila will regret the day she was born.

I'm his alone and his soon to be Luna of the Moon Crest Pack.
