"Oh! She's waking up!"

Dark. Whole-body sweat. Pain. Pain!

The sweetest, lilting voice. "Are you alright? What happened?"

Zelda's eye cracked open, just a skosh. Her vision was greeted by sky blue shark skin and amethyst eyes, a kindhearted smile.

"You came out of nowhere, dudette," came another voice beside her, masculine.

As clarity returned to her head, Zelda opened her eyes fully and took in the sight around her. She was surrounded by Zora. Five in all, four male and one female.

"What's your name, lovey?" the female asked gently, crouched low to press webbed fingers to Zelda's forehead.

"Zelda." The princess immediately cringed at her answer; she and Link were supposed to be in hiding—

Link?

Hylia above, she fell from the rope bridge! She looked up to gauge the distance of the drop, but that same, thick fog obscured the top of the cliffs. The whole-body sweat wasn't sweat at all—she'd plunged into the lake. The Zora must have seen her splash and swam her to the small plateau of rock three of them currently crowded onto. Which—what were Zora doing here in the first place?

"Zelda? Like, the princess?" one of the Zora in the water asked in a heavy drawl.

"Obviously not, you nimrod," another one snapped.

"Is that not the Hylian princess's name?"

"Yeah, her and every other Hylian girl under the age of twenty. If she was the princess she'd be in a big dress and followed by, like, twenty guards or whatever."

The female scowled. "Evan, be nice to Japas..."

Zelda watched as the female then stood with the help of the male beside her. She rose to her full height with a grunt and Zelda saw her pregnant belly. The male supported her lower back with his webbed hand.

They're on hiatus right now because the guitarist's belle is about to have a baby! Isn't that awesome?

Evan. Japas.

"Wait a minute..." Zelda breathed. "Are you the Indie"—what was it?—"The Indigo-Gos?"

"In the fin!" beamed the biggest one.

"I'm surprised you even hafta ask," the one named Evan scoffed, partly to himself.

"Real humble, dude," jabbed the one with his hand on the female—Mikau, Link had said the guitarist's name was.

Zelda shrinked apologetically. "Sorry. I don't listen to much music."

Japas leaned over to Evan. Freak, he whispered aside. Evan nodded in agreement.

Zelda sat up more fully. "But my, um—" Knight? A regular girl wouldn't have a knight. Emerald fixed on the Zora couple, waiting patiently for her to collect her thoughts. "My, um, my beau loves your music."

Saying the title aloud conjured a warmth that chased away some of the physical ache in her bones. Link was her beau, wasn't he.

"Good taste," Evan approved with another nod.

"If I may ask," Zelda then ventured aloud, "what is a band of Zora doing in Hebra, anyway?"

A collective frown.
