 Chapter X

Massacre

“That was so boring, such a waste of time.” Johnro sighed as they walked back to the village.

“A waste of time?” I muttered, they heard me and turned back. I had been following them sense the funeral had ended.

“Oh it’s you. Why could you have not died along with him?” Johnro spat, ‘Let us fight, I should just send you off with your stupid friends.”

I stomped towards them and they ran into the trees, laughing. I could never grasp how incredibly rude, disrespectful and horrible they were. I ran after them until we reached a tiny clearing, I was gritting my teeth with anger and frustration. “How could you say that, did our master mean nothing to you?” I growled, clenching my fists as I faced them.

“No not really.” Jemro muttered, folding his arms, “Can we go, her ugly face is annoying me.”

“You and Samre got us into heaps of trouble, he always took your side, you were his favourite. No I do not give a single care about his death; in fact I am sort of happy. He was a bad leader.” Johnro’s words cut deep into me.

“Take that back!” I roared.

Johnro took a step forward to me, “No, freak.”

I screamed and fell to my knees, clutching my horns. I hated them. I hated everyone, there was no one left. I wanted to kill everyone, I wanted to tear them a part!

Just let go, Akaiya. Let go and watch as you take revenge. Kirrahh rumbled soothingly.

“Just a moment.” I said to her and Johnro and Jemro looked at each other confused. “Do you know how much pain you caused me? Do you realise just how mean you have been to me?” I asked this to Johnro and Jemro.

“What does it matter, you are a freak so all you deserve is to be cast out and hated.” Johnro stated, he had a smug look on his face like he was better than me.

That was it. I had given them the chance and they had thrown it away, I hated them. They deserved pain. I felt myself go dizzy and I thought I fainted but I opened my eyes and not even a second had passed.

My body stood up but I wasn’t controlling it. I panicked until I realised Kirrahh had taken over.

Kill them. I told her.

“My pleasure.” She hissed out loud. Johnro and Jemro took a step back in confusion.

“What is with your hair?” Jemro shrieked suddenly, pointing at me. “Your eyes… claws! Teeth!”

“Now you are even more a freak.” Johnro spat, he was afraid but not quivering around like Jemro.

I rolled my eyes. Within seconds I had jumped on Jemro and drove my talons through him. Johnro jumped back, falling on his back. Jemro turned his head slowly to Johnro and coughed up blood. I ripped my hand out of his chest and he fell to the floor.

I walked over to Jemro, Johnro backed away from his brother and I, terrified. I stamped my foot onto Jemro, crushing his skull. My eyes snapped to Johnro who was sobbing.

“Not so brave now, are you?” Kirrahh hissed.

“Ge-Get away from me you freak!” He screamed, his whole body shaking.

A stench that I probably wouldn’t have been able to smell so strongly had I not had Kirrahh’s dragon skills told me he had wet his pants.

“Stop saying that!” Kirrahh roared. “I will make you scream so loudly your pathetic parents hear you!”
