Chapter 7: giant women

Everyone cheered as Bruce got ready to prove his friends and family wrong.

John started to get excited "Yes! Bring it in, Brother."

You take a look at Branch and see him standing there being all mopey. You thought he would have joined his brothers in their little practice session but it seemed he was moody from being embarrassed by his brothers earlier.

You went over to him and nudged him gently with your hand so as to not make him fall over "Branch weren't you gonna sing with them?" you asked him when he looked up at your face. "I think you should."

"I'll do it when we have to save Floyd, But I'm not going to do it right now just for "funsies." he said, all grouchy.

"Branch it's not just for "funsies" it's to practice." you say. "You're not getting stage fright are you?" you bring your eyebrows closer together.

"It's not that ea-wait I'm not getting stage fright. I sing all the time." he snapped. "This time is no different."

"Then why are you getting cold feet now?" you say getting closer. You were succeeding in trapping him in a corner.

"I am not getting cool feet, I can handle singing a single song." he said with his hands out in front of him.

You smirk evilly, "then prove it."

Once you say those words the kids and Poppy start to chant again.

"Prove it! Prove it! Prove it! Prove it!"

"All right. Fine." Branch groaned, "But this is more than likely beneath me." he said.

"Show them what you got sweet peas." you called after him, using a nickname that you had for him.

Branch Turned around still walking, pointing at you, "hey I told you not to use that nickname anymore."

"Ok my blueberry muffin." you called back before cackling at Branch's face.

"Yeah! Whoo!" cried Poppy.

Bruce was the first one to sing the song and led the carefully planned out dance. "My girl's like candy A candy treat, She knocks me right up Off my feet." He sang out.

John continued after him, "She's so fine as can be."

"It's like A perfect harmony." They sang together.

You smile as you continue listening to them sing, everyone else in the pools starts to get excited as well cheering for them.

"How long have you two been dating?" Said someone behind you very bluntly.

You jump a little having forgotten that Brandy was right behind you.

You turn around to make eye contact with her, "who? Me and Branch?" you gestured to the blue haired Troll.

She nodded.

"Oh umm I think it's been about two months now." you say.

"Two months." she laughed. But not in a mean or hurtful way, more in a looking back on the good old days kind, "I remember back when me and Bruce first met. We found each other out on the beach one day and started to talk and the rest is history." she said before picking up one of her kids who had fallen over. The kid squealed in joy. "We were so nervous about being together, you know. Me and a Troll, it was so new to us."

"Yeah me too." you say. "Maybe liking tall people runs in the family." you joked to her.

She laughed a little and placed the kid on the counter, "I know you have to leave soon but you should come and visit sometime, meet my friends."

That wouldn't be too bad an idea, it'll be nice to meet some new people. "Sure I wouldn't mind coming around." you say.

She placed one of her elbows on the table, "so how did you two meet?" she inquired.

"Oh," you take a deep breath, "...well believe it or not but he actually broke into my house ."

She shifted a little and blinked her eyes, "...well that's quite the story."

She smiled at you before putting on a pair of red sunglasses. You found it a little odd to put sunglasses on since it wasn't that really bright and you were all indoors anyway. But you shrug it off.

"Nice talking to you." you say.

You looked back at Branch and his brothers.

"BroZone's back, all right!" They all sang at the same time including Poppy. "Whether you're a mother Or whether you're a brother You're stayin' alive Stayin' alive."

You waved at Branch when he looked at you making him lose consecration for a second. You still can't believe that the person you're dating was secretly in a boy band still.

Soon the song was finished and all the wool people in the restaurant cheered and applauded for them.

"Ah, yes. We still got it." John said.

Bruce came up behind them, "Oh, tell me that didn't feel good."

"I can't believe I remembered every word and every step." Branch said surprised as he did a few of the moves.

"Guess you're still a band boy then." said Poppy.

They all made their way to you and Brandy.

"That was great Branch." you say to him as he comes over.
He looked at you surprised, "Thanks."

You smiled back.

"Um, Brandy, my love." started Bruce a little worried "So, I know we have kind of a lot going on here, but do you think it would be crazy if I were to-"

"Uh, leave me here to manage the restaurant and all these kids so you can go on a musically charged rescue mission with your brothers?" she finished for him.

"Yeah. That." Bruce said.

"It'd be crazy if you didn't. You'll never forgive yourself if you don't help your brother." she told them.

That's a lot like what you said to Branch at the wedding.
"And you can cover when I go on my girls yoga retreat next month. All month." she said in a serious manner. "But you should leave now before you get pink eye." she warned him by taking off her glasses to reveal that she had contracted pink eye herself.

You stood up quickly as her dozen kids started walking towards you.

"Save yourself!" she said smiling.

"Daddy. Daddy! Daddy! Daddy! Daddy!" screamed the kids also with pink eye.

You and everyone else ran away weirded out.

"Gross! Love you." Bruce yelled before everyone left the restaurant.

"I'll come over in a week or so." you yelled before you were out of earshot.

"How did that even happen that fast?" you say.

"When you have that many kids, sickness spreads like fire." Said Bruce.

You grimace "I am never having kids then."

Soon John found Rhonda who ran over excitedly, everyone started to get in.
