ROSIE BELL AND NIKA MÜHL could never be "just friends." But unfortunately, it's what the girls attempted to do at the time being. They were forced to ignore the ongoing tension and act like nothing ever happened between them. Nika was too good at putting on a cold front, but if you know her you can see right through it. You certainly can't date someone on your team right?
The UConn huskies had just won their game versus Maryland and were now supposed to head to Minneapolis, Minnesota. They had a short flight and Rosie cuddled up to Kk for a quick nap as they were both out of their usual energy.
They landed shortly and it was time to head up to their rooms which Rosie was sort of dreading. Last time, things didn't go well when Rosie and Nika roomed together. However Rosie expected a better outcome due to them being on slightly better terms.
The team all grudgingly walked off the plane and to the baggage claim. Rosie was forced to pay extra due to her bag being eighty nine pounds, she got endless teasing from her teammates after the incident. "The fuck you got in there bricks?" Jana laughed as all the girls teased her causing her cheeks to become flushed.
"It's okay."Paige squeezed her cheek and winked at the girl, sensing her embarrassment.
Now, Rosie was most definitely in the weight room, but currently she felt weaker than ever and didn't know how she was going to lift her bag.
Once the huge red gingham print suitcase rolled around, Rosie attempted to pick it up, failing miserably triggering Ice to whip out her phone and record the girl. Instead of helping her the girls all were practically pissing their pants while watching her fumble.
Rosie could handle the teasing about her bag, but she was grumpy and tired and this was her last straw. "Can you guys stop laughing." She huffed, still attempting to pick up her bag. After a few struggles, Nika couldn't watch anymore. She quickly swooped in and helped the girl grab her bag. Their hands brushed lightly, as they gazed into one another's eyes for a moment.
"Wife to the rescue!" Kk shook with laughter, earning a hard slap from Paige.
"Thanks, mate." Rosie nodded her head awkwardly, inwardly face palming at the stupid choice of words.
"Yeah." Nika averted her eyes quickly, if she stared to hard she would be forced to examine every feature she had already examined before.
They whole team died down from choosing to pick on Rosie and we're all making their way out of the airport. "No cause I would watch a YouTube video of you unboxing your suitcase Bellie." Ice joked.
"I'll send a whole snap vlog tomorrow morning don't even worry." Rosie shook her head at the girl.
They reached the exit and soon all took notice of the gloomy atmosphere. It just happened to be pouring rain when they had to walk all the way to their bus.
Only a couple girls were smart enough to bring an umbrella, Ines, Nika, and Azzi. All the girls swarmed Nika and Azzi immediately, Rosie however chose against it. Ines pulled Rosie under her umbrella and shot her the sweetest smile. "Thank you so much Neshie." Rosie smiled cheekily scooting closer to Ines.
"Of course!" Ines smiled brightly. "It rains all the time in Portugal. I never go without an umbrella." Ines explained to the slightly taller girl.
"To be honest rain is the best weather though, I'd love to visit Portugal." Rosie shrugged.
"Yeah rain is nice, it smells really good." Ines agreed.
"Oh my god I thought I was crazy for thinking that thank you!" Rosie laughed.
