THE TEAM LANDED SAFELY BACK in Connecticut after a long time spent on Cayman Islands. There was nothing planned for the rest of that day and their sleep schedules were quite messed up. Geno decided to not schedule practice until the next day.
Instead of going to her own dorm, Azzi headed straight to Paige's cause Rosie to playfully roll her eyes as she trudged to her dorm. After just seconds of setting her stuff down she heard a soft knock at the door.
She walked over to the door in confusion, squinting her eyes in the peep whole. Her face softened at the sight of the girl at her door.
She creaked the door open with a goofy smile on her face.
"Hello." She husked.
"Hi." Rosie opened the door wider gesturing the girl to come in.
The two made their way to Rosie's bedroom, Rosie making a beeline to her dresser. "Let me change into something comfy." She giggled.
Nika simply nodded and looked around her room, studying every picture and every decoration.
Rosie quickly slipped on her favorite comfy shorts as well as a tank top. As soon as the girl was done changing Nika pulled the girl into a tight hug, closing her eyes. Rosie rested her head on the girls shoulder, melting at the touch. When they eventually pulled away, Nika placed a quick peck on the girls forehead.
They both climbed into the bed and got under the covers, holding onto each other tight. Nika stroked Rosie's head softly, as the girl played with her slightly larger hands.
"I could stay like this forever." Rosie whispered.
"Me too baby." Nika placed a kiss on her head.
Rosie pulled herself closer to the girl if that was even possible and closed her eyes in attempt to fall asleep, which was easy for both of them.
When they woke up they both had many messages that they missed from sleeping, asking if they wanted to play a quick game.

Rosie changed into some basketball clothes, letting Nika borrow some of hers, unfortunately her only clean ones represented her number. They arrived at the court already seeing majority of the team there. Rosie felt deep pity for all the girls forced to watch from the sidelines due to injuries. She also prayed nothing would ever happen to her or her friends again.
"What were y'all up to." Kk put her hands on her hips as if she was an authority figure.
"Sleeping." Rosie laughed, beginning to dribble after she set her stuff down.
"With each other." Kk muttered under breath.
"Hey Rosie!" Ines waved.
"Hey Neshie!" Rosie waved back with a soft smile.
"We should do team captains." Paige rubbed her hands together. "Me and Nika will be team captains." She grabbed the girl and pulled her in next to her.
"Who's picking first?" Rosie questioned. "Please don't pick me last my ego cannot handle that." Rosie made a pained expression.
