ROSIE BRUSHED HIGHLIGHTER onto her face briskly to finish her look for the night. She dressed herself in a cute black top with a silver skirt.Tonight was New Years and the team would be party hopping tonight.
They all climbed into the Uber, having to take two due to there being so many of them. Rosie sat next to Inês, throwing her arms around her immediately as she was already tipsy. This earned a cold stare from Nika who took one for the team and sat in the front seat. She was shooting daggers at the two who were to close for her liking. However Rosie didn't take notice of any of this as she was already out of it.
They all sung along to the song "Super Bass" that their amazing Uber driver put on for them, per Rosie's request.
"Thank you so much!" Rosie patted the driver on his shoulder before she swiftly got out of the car. She got out to fast however but thankfully Inês kept her on balance.
Nika slammed her door shut making the driver jump, she headed straight into the party not meeting Rosie which caused the girl to be confused. She shrugged it off, figuring the girl had to pee or something.
They entered the party, smell of smoke and alcohol filling their lungs. Rosie immediately headed for where she saw people dancing and dragged Inês and Jana along with her. She began to dance with her friends, before she got thirsty.
"I'm gonna grab a drink!" She yelled over the music.
"Okay!" Jana smiled.
Rosie pushed her way through the large crowd in attempts to find a drink. She stumbled across a kitchen, score.
She grabbed a Sprite and mixed it with some Vodka in a red solo cup. She cringed as it burned down her throat but soon got used to the sensation. While she walked back to find her friends, the drink was already almost half gone.
"Nika!" She yelled, spotting the girl she wanted to see.
"Hey." Nika deadpanned, avoiding eye contact. "How many drinks have you had?" She questioned with harshness laced in her voice.
"Oh just this one!" Rosie smiled brightly, trying to find Nika's eyes. "Plus a couple, maybe more than a couple, shots at pregame." She whispered into the girls ear with a giggle.
Nika simply sighed and rubbed her back gently, observing the party. "Wanna dance with Inês, Jana, and me?" Rosie asked sweetly, slightly looking up at the girl.
Nika flicked her tongue out, licking the side of her cheek with jealousy. "Sure." She deadpanned, placing her palm on the small of Rosie's back and guiding them to the dancing.
"Hey!" Inês shouted, grabbing the girl so she wouldn't get lost in the crowd. Nika rolled her eyes so far back at this, wiping her hand down her mouth in frustration.
They all began dancing together Nika's hand meeting Rosie's hips as they swayed. However Inês's hand sneaked her way in Rosie's own holding their arms up as they danced. As soon as this caught Nika's eye, she ripped her hands away from Rosie's hips and excused herself for a drink.
It had been a while since Nika had left, and she hadn't yet returned. By this time Rosie had found almost all her teammates and they sat on a couch talking to each other before Rosie decided to look for Nika.
As soon as she spotted the Croatian she had more pep in her step, approaching the girl cheerfully. "Hey where ya been?" Rosie smiled.
"Just grabbing a drink." Nika spoke sarcastically emphasizing the cup in her hand.
"Are you mad at me?" Rosie frowned.
"Do you think I'm mad at you?" Nika questioned, furrowing her eyebrows.
