I wake up with a drowsy groan. My alarm rang annoyingly from my phone and I pick it up, wanting to chuck it across the room.
Why am I up early again?
Oh, yeah.
I need to film.
...
Couldn't my fans just wait a little longer? Like maybe a month?
I laugh. No, they'd probably kill me after hunting me down.
"DAN!" I hear a shout from the next room. "CUT THE ALARM! IT'S TOO LOUD!"
We own crappy walls. It's not surprising that Phil would be able to hear my alarm from his room. If he can hear my pacing, he can hear my phone.
The clock stops ringing and I get up. How high up did I turn the volume- 100. Good job, Dan. Put it as loud as you can. I'm such an idiot.
Putting on a shirt, I make my way to the kitchen and yawn. "Thanks for the wake-up call," Phil whines, exiting his room. "I definitely didn't need the hour of sleep I could've had."
I shrug. "Probably not. What do we have to eat?"
"Cereal?" he replies unsurely.
"Out of it." I say back.
"What?" he asks in shock. "Didn't we go shopping for stuff a while ago?"
I nod. "Yeah, we did."
Phil crosses his arms and clicks his tongue. "Then where is our cereal?"
"The cereal killer came and kidnapped them all."
"Excuse me?"
"Phil," I begin. "Are you going to stand there and tell me that you haven't been eating them as a midnight snack? Again?"
He gasps. "I have not! I'm telling the truth! I did not eat it!"
I stare at him and he frowns, turning away. "I'm not lying."
I sigh heavily and lean on the counter. "Okay. That means we need to go out. Do you need to change, or...?"
"I'm good," he tells me quickly. "Let's go, I'm hungry," he says cheerfully.
I tell him to wait for me outside. As Phil leaves the flat, I run over to my room and grab my wallet, phone, and camera. I guess I'll be doing a vlog today.

"So we are at Starbucks for breakfast. Would you like to tell them why, Phil?" I ask, pointing the screen towards him.
He stops drinking his coffee and looks at the camera accusingly. "I didn't do it."
A laugh escapes my mouth. I turn the camera back to face me and shake my head. "What Phil doesn't know is that I saw him."
I grin. "So, I woke up in the middle of the night and on my way to the bathroom, I hear this strange sound coming from he living room. Being the awesome person I am-"
"Not."
"I go over and look to see what it is. And guess what I saw. Phil was lying on the couch, rewatching the entire first season of Free! and by his side, I see this large bowl of cereal with his hand in it. I figured it would be fine if it was only that bowl, but I guess I was wrong. Isn't that right, Phil?"
I turn the camera back to him, and a pout formed on his face. "Leave me alone, Dan!"
I start to laugh louder, causing a few stares. "And Dan wins again. That'll show you. You can't hide these things from me, you know? You aren't good at lying much, either."
"I'm plenty good at lying!" he retorts. "Even now you don't know the biggest lie I've told, do you?"
I place the camera on the table and glance at it. "It's not about cereal, is it?"
"No! Goodness! Shut that camera off, if I'd known you would be vlogging today, I would've stayed at home."
I awkwardly pick the device up and smile. "Sorry, looks like he's in a bad mood for some reason. I'll talk to you guys later."
I turn the camera off and place my head in my hand. "What's up? Are you feeling alright?"
Phil fixes his hair and looks at me. "I was not aware that our fans would be joining us for breakfast. You know I don't like surprise vlogs. They can literally pick up on the smallest things."
I hum and take a sip of my coffee. "Sorry, then. I'll make sure to tell you next time, okay?"
"Mmm."
"Do you want to leave?"
"We can stay if you want."
"...Let's go back. It's 9. I do need to get started on another video. Would it be fine to video our walk back?"
Phil chuckles. "Do you want your fans to know where we live?"
"No, I guess not. Then part of the way?"
"That would be fine for me," he replies in a more happy tone.

"We are on our way back, after eating for the morning. Phil's in a better mood, not as cranky as before."
"Hey!" he exclaims. "It was your phone's fault!"
I roll my eyes. " If I didn't say it yet, my phone woke both me and Phil up because when I set it, I didn't realize it was on maximum volume. So, long story short, the alarm woke anyone living in the flat."
Phil giggles. "Maybe it stopped the man downstairs from having- Woah!"
He slips on a plastic bag lying on the ground, leaning on his arms in confusion. "Did I just- what?"
I began to crack up, bending down to record Phil's state. "As you can see, the AmazingPhil has just fallen pathetically over a piece of trash. Shame on you UK litterers, hurting one youtuber after another."
I move the camera onto one hand and stand back up, holding out the other hand to Phil. "Need help?"
He takes it reluctantly and pulls himself up. "Thank you."
His face is flushed with embarrassment and he mutters some words to himself.
How adorable.
"What?"
"Huh?"
"You just said something. What did you say?"
I shake my head. Did I say that out loud? "I didn't say anything. You must be hearing things."
Phil raises a brow, or tries to, and take the camera from me. "I think it's time for you to be on the other side for a bit."
I push my hair back. "That's alright with me."
As long as you don't know what I said.
