WEDNESDAY/JUNE/03
10:20
After a wild night, Jay reluctantly awakened to the soft glow of morning light filtering through the curtains. His head was spinning like crazy as he slowly opened his eyes to see Gionna laying her head on his bare chest. He instantly looked under the blanket to see her leg draped over his, and they were both naked. She was out cold, so he slowly moved away, searching for his boxers. After a while, he found them near the bedroom door. He put them on and went to the bathroom, looked at himself in the mirror, and whispered, "What the fuck did you do, you idiot? She is your fucking EX," as he slapped himself. He brushed his messy hair and washed his face with cold water.
After he was done, he opened the bathroom door to see Gionna bending over the bed, stretching... still naked.
Jay: Could you put something on, please?
Gionna: ...Sure...
He went to the kitchen and sat down at the table. After a short while, she joined him, and they sat in silence, both of them looking down. But he knew they had to talk about it.
Jay: So...
Gionna: So...
Jay: Did we... you know?
She slightly nodded.
Gionna: Yes...
After hearing this, Jay's fears were confirmed.
Jay: For fuck's sake... he said, putting his head in his hands.
Gionna: I don't know what to say...
Jay: There is nothing to be said... This was one big fucking mistake.
Gionna: What do you mean, mistake?
She was getting a bit defensive.
Jay: Are we dating? Last I've checked, we haven't been for a good few years.
Gionna's defensive tone stung Jay, but he pushed through, needing to address the situation head-on.
Jay: Look, Gionna, I'm not trying to attack you. It's just... this isn't how I pictured things going.
Gionna sighed, her shoulders slumping.
Gionna: I know, Jay. I didn't expect this either.
There was a heavy silence between them, the weight of their actions hanging in the air.
Jay: I guess... I guess we need to figure out what this means for us now.
Gionna nodded slowly, her expression troubled.
Gionna: Yeah, I suppose we do.
Jay rubbed his temples, feeling the beginnings of a headache forming.
Jay: I just... I don't want things to be weird between us, you know?
Gionna met his gaze, her eyes softening.
Gionna: Me neither. But we can't ignore what happened.
Jay sighed, running a hand through his hair.
Jay: I know. We need to talk about it.
Gionna nodded again, her expression solemn.
Gionna: Okay. Let's talk.
Jay took a deep breath, trying to gather his thoughts.
Jay: I just... I don't want things to get messy, Gionna. We've been through enough already.
