Continuing from the last chapter*
Both lovebirds were sleeping in each other's arms peacefully. Jay could feel that, even with some obstacles, his life was coming together. He knew he had met the one—the one he would spend his life with..or?
3:15 am*
Jay was awake and parched so he slowly moved from the bed and went to kitchen, Jay rubbed his eyes as he shuffled into the dimly lit kitchen, craving the cool relief of a soda. He fumbled for the light switch, flicking it on with a soft click that echoed in the silence. The refrigerator hummed softly in the corner, casting a faint glow across the tiled floor. Jay reached inside for a can, his parched throat grateful for the promised refreshment.
As he turned to leave, the hairs on the back of his neck prickled. There, seated calmly on a chair by the dining table, was the "stranger". Dressed in their clothes, they exuded an unsettling presence that froze Jay in his tracks.
Jay: (tense) What the fuck are you doing here?
The stranger remained silent, their long hair swaying slightly as if moved by an unseen breeze.
Jay: (suspicious) Cut the bullshit
Slowly, the stranger lifted their head, revealing only a hint of a smirk beneath the shadow of their hair. Their eyes remained hidden, adding to their enigmatic presence.
Stranger: (calmly) Thirsty, huh?
Jay: (guarded) I'm not in the mood for games. Tell me why the fuck you're here.
The stranger's smirk widened slightly, a gesture that sent a shiver down Jay's spine.
Stranger: (mocking) Oh, I'm just here to keep an eye on things. You know, make sure you don't get too fucking comfortable.
Jay's grip tightened around the soda can, his mind racing through possible threats and scenarios. He took a cautious step forward, ready to defend himself if necessary.
Jay: (firmly) Get the fuck out, before I make you.
The stranger leaned back casually, unfazed by Jay's veiled threat.
Stranger: (tauntingly) maybe it's exactly the right fucking time...time for VIOLENCE !
Jay's pulse quickened. He couldn't afford to let this intruder unsettle him. He squared his shoulders, summoning his bravado.
Jay: (defiantly) I'm not playing games with you. Leave, now.
The stranger rose slowly from the chair, their long hair cascading around them like a curtain of shadows.
Stranger: (smirking) Oh, I'm not leaving just yet. We've got unfinished business.
Jay's jaw clenched. He didn't like where this was going.
Jay: (warningly) You're pushing your luck.
Stranger: (chuckling darkly) Maybe I like the danger.
Jay: I've had enough. What do you want?
Stranger: I want you to cut ties with Demi. She's too good for somebody like you. But that Alexa? Oh my god and all the angels... that woman wants you badly.
Jay: First off, she loves me... and second, I couldn't care less about Alexa.
Stranger: Yeah, it seems like it... crying in the shower like a little pussy you are... hehe...
