⚊ synopsis
Jung Kiara is the school's whirlwind of energy —loud, shameless, and hilariously stubborn. Her mission? To win over her lifelong crush, the effortlessly cool and cute, Kim Sunoo. From the moment she first laid eyes on him, Kiara has been head over heels, and she isn't afraid to show it.
Armed with outrageous public declarations, epic flash mobs, and heart-shaped confetti explosions, Kiara turns every day into a rom-com spectacle. She serenades him in the cafeteria, leaves love notes in his locker, and once even recruited the marching band for a grand display of affection. Her antics make her the talk of the school, but despite the laughter and chaos, Kiara's feelings for Sunoo are as genuine as they come.
While her goofy charm and heartfelt persistence provide endless entertainment for their classmates, Sunoo remains an enigma. Kiara's friends cheer her on, convinced that her sheer determination will eventually win him over.
But as the end of school year approaches, the question looms: will Sunoo ever see beyond the spectacle and realize that the girl who's been making him laugh all year is the one who truly loves him?
⚊ short peak
The school corridor buzzed with anticipation as I prepped for my latest grand gesture. My best friends were setting up the heart-shaped confetti cannons, and my homemade banner reading "Sunoo, Be Mine!" was unfurling above. Everything was perfect. Kim Sunoo, blissfully unaware, walked towards his locker. I noticed his adorable younger sister, Sunhee, peeking from behind a corner, giggling with the rest of the students who had gathered to watch.
Dressed in my most vibrant outfit, I skipped over to Sunoo, holding a bouquet of sunflowers. "Hey, Sunoo! Are you a magician? Because whenever I look at you, everyone else disappears!"
Sunoo, ever polite and calm, smiled softly. "Kiara, that's really sweet. But -"
Before he could finish, I cut him off, holding up a heart-shaped cookie I baked. "If you were a vegetable, you'd be a cute-cumber!"
Laughter erupted from our classmates, and even Sunoo's sister was clutching her sides, trying to stifle her giggles.
Sunoo took a deep breath, gently accepting the cookie. "Kiara, you're amazing and your efforts never fail to make me smile. But I just don't feel the same way. I'm really sorry."
The corridor fell silent, the confetti cannons going off at just the wrong moment, showering the scene in pink and red.
My smile wavered, but I quickly masked my disappointment with a grin. "Well, you can't blame a girl for trying, right?" I said, throwing in a playful wink.
Sunhee, feeling the tension, ran over and hugged me. "You're the coolest, Kiara unnie! Don't stop being you!"
I laughed, ruffling Sunhee's hair. "Thanks, Sunhee. And don't worry, I won't. On to the next grand gesture!"
As the crowd dispersed, I walked away with my head held high, planning my next move, my heart heavy but unbroken.
