Okay yall, I need you guys to know that Misako became a bit of a better mom since after crystallized.

In this AU at least.

Lloyd and Harumi were staying at a hotel.

Why?

Well, there is a group of bad guys who are after Lloyd, and the blond's mom, Misako, had recently passed away in a choice to either save herself or Lloyd.

She chose to save her son.

And Lloyd was ill, specifically his mental state was bad, and Nya and Kai, with the help of their parents, got Lloyd in a hotel so he could rest and heal.

But, of course they didn't want him to be alone, and since Misako was also a bit of a mother figure for Harumi, she decided to stay with the blond.

The bad guys couldn't find them, and if they did, Garmadon would be waiting for them, as he was patrolling around the hotel.

In the hotel room, Lloyd was asleep, Harumi was finishing texting with Nya, who was keeping her up to date.

The room had two queen sized beds, Lloyd slept to the one closest to the bathroom, because he frequently got nausea from nightmares and has the need to throw up if he doesn't get calmed down fast enough.

There was nothing else in their room except for a vanity, a dresser and a bathroom with a tub, toilet and sink.

She finished her conversation with Nya and settled down in her bed, placing her phone on the nightstand.

The room was dark already, as the blond was sleep.

She moved around in her warm, comfy bed until she was comfortable enough to sleep.

She was dreading the next day as she knew it would start with the blond having either an anxiety attack about the bad guys finding them, or just having a flashback.

She sighed and closed her eyes, falling asleep rather quickly from the exhausting day of carrying all of their luggage and taking care of the unstable blond.

"Lloyd!"

A man, masked and clothed in complete black, holding a gun, pointing right at him.

His mother ran into the alleyway, right as the man shot, twice.

Boom.

Boom.

The blond screamed, as did the man as Misako plunged a sword into his throat before she fell onto the cold concrete floor.

"Mom!" he cried, crawling over to her "You can't leave me!" he sobbed, tears falling from his face.

"I just got you back.." he mumbled, her pale hand shakily raised towards his cheek.

"You have your father, and your siblings, I-I'm.." she broke off, coughing up blood "I'm sorry for ruining your childhood, if I could, I w-would undo it."

"It's okay," he whimpered "You thought it was the right thing."

"Be brave, my son, do not change, and take care of your family." She said, her breathing slowing, the blond let out another sob, burying his face in her stomach, sobbing harder.

As her heart stopped, and her pulse, he let out a heartbroken cry, which echoed out the alleyway and to the Ninja who were on the rooftops, trying to find them.

~

The blond shot awake, his oversized, red t-shirt, which belongs to Kai, soaked in sweat and tears he hadn't even noticed.

His lungs hurt from breathing so hard, but it felt as if he couldn't breathe, and it was dark, too dark.

He let out sobs, which he desperately tried to keep in as his eyes flickered across the pitch black room.

Where was he?

Was someone with him?

Was the it people who killed his mom?

Was he going to be killed?

Did someone else die?

Did Kai die?

Did Nya die?

Did his dad die?

Did Harumi die?

Did Jay?

Did Cole?

What about Master Wu?

Where is everyone?

He couldn't keep his sobs in anymore, his body shook like a leaf in a storm.

All the noise woke up Harumi, who was able to see in the dark well enough to realize what was going on.

He jolted as he felt her sit down on his bed, he shuffled backwards until his back hit the wall.

"A-Are you going to kill me?" he whimpered "No, no, Lloyd, it's me, Harumi, your okay, remember?" she said, slowly coming closer.

His eyes were used to the dark by now and he could see her clearly "Rumi." he whimpered.

"It's okay, I'm here, do you remember where we are?" she asked, he shook his head "we're at the hotel, remember? Garmadon is patrolling around it." she told him.

Realization finally hit, he was safe, in the hotel that Ray and Maya paid for.

"can I get anything for you?" she asked, he was calm enough, and luckily he didn't end up in a flashback or anxiety attack.

Well, he sort of had a flashback, but it wasn't long enough for him to be completely gone, it was just the darkness of the room that confused him.

There was one thing he longed for, that was a woman's care, but his mother was gone, Nya was not here, only Harumi..

But he couldn't ask that, they weren't even dating.

"Could you.." he trailed off, she waited patiently, he inwardly sighed and sucked up the embarrassment "Can you please hold me?" he asked quietly.

She was surprised for a moment, but it did make sense, he misses his mom, and it was either Misako, Kai or Nya that stayed with him during nights with nightmares.

It was more often Nya or Misako.

"Yeah, wanna lay in my bed?" she asked "your sheets are sticky from sweat."

He nodded and she scooped him up, he didn't protest and simply laced his arms around her neck and held on for all that his life was worth.

"Can Nya and Kai come by tomorrow?" he whispered, she nodded "Of Course, Sweetheart, I can text Nya right now if you want."

She laid him down on the bed and crawled in next to him, he immediately latched back onto her, his head resting on her collarbone.

"No," he mumbled "In the morning." she nodded "Alright, I'll text her in the morning, how about we go to sleep?"

He nodded, his arms were wrapped around her neck still, and her were wrapped loosely around his back.

"Can you hold me tighter?" he asked, she nodded, tightening her grip.

He sighed.

Her touch was so warm, he felt safe in her arms.

Her touch was soft, addicting.

He wished he could lay forever in her safe embrace, hiding from the world and sleeping the pain of his mother's death away.

She softly stroked his back, and one hand raised up to his head to massage the back of his head.

Her hands massaged his scalp, which made him more sleepy.

"Thank you for being here." he mumbled, thankful to have Harumi with him.

"I will always be here." she promised him.
