I Met You Not So Very Long Ago

I met you not so very long ago...

Yet I have known you my entire life...

I have seen you in my dreams before

Back when I didn't think life was worth it anymore

I met you not so very long ago...

Yet I have known you my entire life...

I used to think Love was only ever truly true

When it came to movies, and dreams and fairy tales

BUT

Then I met you..

I met you not so very long ago...

Yet I have known you my entire life...

I saw your eyes, so beautiful when I met their gaze,

And I saw your smile, so warm, and so wonderful, it sent me into a craze

I knew right then I loved you, 

My Heart told me so...

I met you not so very long ago...

Yet I have known you my entire life...

I wish I knew how to express that to you

This Love that burns within me

But because that is impossible to do

I will just have to show you

Each and every day for the rest of our lives

How can I do that you ask and wonder?

My answer is simple, my answer is true

I will show you every day, just by being there for you

I will be there for you when you need to be held, and have your tears wiped away

Sweetheart I am always here to stay

I will be there to smile with you, to tell you jokes when the sky is grey

I will be there to talk with you at the rising and setting of the sun each day

I will tell you "I love you" and mean each letter and word by ten times an infinity plus two

I will always be there with you when you don't know what to do

I could say a billion things added to the number of stars times the grains of sand

And even then I still couldn't make you fully understand

Just how much you mean to me.

You mean more to me than anything

The world could never tear us apart

And if they did I swear upon my living breath I will find you

And when I find you My Love..

I will take you away with me.. 

I will hold you close and gaze in your eyes...

I will show you how you mean everything to me

If it takes me all of our lives...

If I could explain how I felt and feel about you I would

But that's impossible

So let these words ring in your ears for now until the end of eternity

Let these words become a fact

Let these words be stated in my final act

Let these words mean something special

These words I mean every time I say them
