Without A Star

I was born without a star

yet thrust upon with destiny

You were close, then you were far

So far away you left me

I grew up big and tall

I played with daddy at the mall

I grew up with a smile

Thinking of you all the while

I was a lil' tiger fierce and strong

Then there was another

With whom I didn't get along

Blessed was I with sister and brother

Yet still I wished with a heart so long

For you, my Mother

She hurt me everyday

Did things I don't care to say

Made me pout, made me cry

Made me wonder why

You weren't there for me

I just couldn't see

I grew up big and tall

I finally escaped it all

I left home, became a man

On my own, I now stand

Met a girl who's really nice

Took another chance, rolled the dice

Fell in love, now I'm hooked

Got the wedding fully booked

She's got that ring

Became my zing

Now I've my own lil' tiger

Fierce and strong

Won't ever do him wrong

I was born without a star

Was thrust upon with destiny

We were never very close

Yet I have gotten oh so far...
