I told that I loved you, I told you that I cared
I told you whenever you needed me, I'd always be there
I told you that without you I wouldn't know what to do
I want you to know that I was happy every day that I spent with you
However I think it's time for me to let go, and keep in my heart the memories of yesterday
You may have left me for another, and I may have been lost for a while, but I think
I will yet again find my way
I won't lie, I was bitter, I was lost
I had no idea the kind of pain losing my heart would cost
You taught me a lesson, you made me a better man
And for that I, Thank ya ma'am
Yes I was lost where could I be found
I felt like the world had stopped spinning round
But I told myself stand-up be strong
My life is yet long
I'll be fine
I'll make some lucky girl all mine
And then that day I'll say in the sun or the snow or the rain
Thank you life for all the lessons thanks for all the pain
Thank you for the worries and the strife
Thank you for teaching me to be a gentleman, in this crazy life
So yes I was hurt yes I was down
But a man can't be a man with a permanent frown
So smile buck up get up today
The sun be shining, the moon be flying and that's all there is to say...
