Love Over Matter

They say love hurts, they never told me how much

They say time heals, but they never told me how long it takes

They say I am young, and don't know the meaning of such and such

But I promise I swear I won't give up no matter the stakes

I won't be brought down by their words

I won't be brought down by their swords

I won't give up so long as my heart beats to the rhythm of my life

I won't give in nomatter the pain and the strife

No pain no gain mind over matter

I won't let someone else help me shatter

I will make it moving forward taking my good time

In the end I will find

That which I desire

The burning fire

Of Happiness and Love

I am strong think you can take me

I may be young but if you could only see

Just what I have been through

Could you get up and do what I do

Smile each day

Don't let this ludicrous world get in your way

They say dreams are for fools but in reality

Dreams are all that I can see

You can't destroy my fantasy

So stop take a moment to look

Don't give up don't throw down the book

Keep your pen don't quit the story

The pages may hurt covered in blood being gory

But someday it will hit the shelves shit will hit the fan

That's when you'll realize this is who I am

I am strong think you can take me

There is more than what meets the eye here

So give up on me givin' up it will never be
