"...Let's just both try our best, i guess?" Ashlyn asks, as she holds her hand out for aiden. Aiden looks down at ashlyn's hand, and he pauses for a short second before taking her hand.
"Wow, that was cringy." A male voice uttered.
"Dude, shush i cant hear them." Female voice then whispered.
As these two voices spoke, ashlyn then looked bothered as she listened to these voices speak, "i can hear you guys." Ashlyn said sounding annoyed and you guys were then shown lined up beside the stair railings with faces like you guys have just been caught. 'so much for eavesdropping.'
Timeskip
In ashlyn's house.
"I'm pretty sure i failed that midterm." Taylor spoke, as all of you guys sat around the living room looking devastated, except for aiden and logan who seemed just fine.
You on the other hand, you were laying on the sofa chair, looking like you were ready to end everything you've worked for. '...Why does mathematics exist? You kept rambling on, and on in your mind, but your thoughts then get interrupted when you hear aiden's voice speak, "oh yeah, my parents are coming back tomorrow." Aiden brought out. "Really?" Taylor questions as you sit back up properly on your chair.
"Yeah, along with ben's family. It'll be his little sister's birthday in a week, i think." Aiden spoke and ben nods in confirmation. "Oh, they're coming back? They never told me." You hear ashlyn's dad say making you turn your head towards him, "you talk to them?" Ashlyn asks with an eyebrow raised, "yeah, a bit, to give them updates on how aiden and ben are doing." Ashlyn's dad answers, as he puts the laundry basket down on a table.
"Hmm... Should we have bbq??" Her dad asks and when you hear the word bbq your eyes lit up. "What...?" Ashlyn questions. "It'll be a rare chance for us parents to get together like this, y'know? We could have a big bbq in the graveyard and also celebrate ben's sister's birthday, if they don't already have plans." Her dad suggested.
"Sure! We can ask!" Aiden exclaims in excitement. "What about you, taylor and tyler? Logan? Y/n?" Her dad asks you guys.
"Im sure my grandparents would
like to come, they're big bbq fans themselves."

"We'll ask"

"...I'll ask my parents."

"Great!" -mike
"Oh! You kids should probably leave soon, it's almost 5." Ashlyn's dad tells you guys as he looks down at his wrist watch. "Ah right..." Ashlyn says. And upon hearing this, you grab your small back and put your phone back in there and wore it over your shoulder.
"You sure you don't want me to take you?" Her dad asks. "It's not too far of a walk... Plus the jeep doesn't have enough seats for everyone" Ashlyn mentions. And you frown at that since you weren't really a fan of walking.
"...well actually-" her dad starts and you immediately perked up, "-i made a small upgrade to the jeep." He says as he smiles proudly to himself.
In the jeep.
"This is not ideal." Tyler commented with an irritated look on his face, "but atleast it works haha." Ashlyn's dad replies to tyler's comment before they start to drive you all off to your guy's location.

You guys have arrived at the arcade, and you all get out of the car. "You kids have fun! Call if you need anything!" ashlyn's dad tells you guys as you all stood together. "We will!" Ashlyn replies to her dad as she raises her hand as a goodbye. And after that you guys walked off to go enter the arcade.
"The arcade's fun and all... But you sure you'll be okay ashlyn?" Taylor asks as she has her head turned to the red head who was putting on her headphones. "We're supposed to be celebrating, and relieving some stress... I don't want you to be uncomfortable the whole time." Taylor says while you turned your attention to ashlyn as she said that.
"Yeah, these are pretty great at cancelling out noise. I should be fine." Ashlyn reassures before speaking again. "Plus, i've never been to an arcade, so i'm kind of curious." Ashlyn says. "Me too." Logan spoke as he scratched his cheek with his finger meanwhile ben stood beside him like he also hasn't gone to an arcade before.
You all walked into the arcade, and your eyes looked around the arcade, 'hm. This is smaller than the last arcade i went to so there's probably not much to play here. But I'm sure it'll still be fun with these guys around.' you think as you then turned your eyes to the others and you immediately noticed ashlyn looking at something with interest so you follow her gaze and you saw that she was staring at the ddr machines.
"I bet i can beat you." You then her aiden spoke, and you moved your eyes back and you saw ashlyn smile at aiden as she spoke. "...How much?"
"Oh! Oh! I'm good at ddr too!" -taylor
"I-I know how... But I'm not good at it" -logan
"Alright ill record for future
Memories."

You take your phone out, and you start recording as ashlyn, aiden, taylor and logan played the ddr machines. And you couldn't help but chuckle when you saw logan struggling.
Then after that taylor and tyler challenged each other on the basketball arcade machines, ben and aiden stood beside each other, ben had his hands doing two thumbs up for taylor as an encouraging gesture, while ashlyn stood behind the two with her arms crossed just quietly observing, logan watched tyler score and you took a few pictures as you watched.
Next was air hockey, ashlyn and tyler we're now playing against each other, but tyler hit too hard and the puck hit ashlyn's pusher and it flew straight to logan's forehead, and everyone looked shocked and worried except aiden because he was trying to hold in his laugh, and as the event happened you happily took a quick pic.
You all then moved on to the next game, which was a shooting game, and it was ben and logan. And you couldn't help but snicker quietly as you watched ben struggling to shoot, while logan was doing an awesome job at aiming. And you took a few pics as they played.
Then after that you we're now playing a game of whac-a-mole with aiden and you both looked down at the holes looking determined to hit the daylights out of the next mole that pops up as taylor takes pictures of you guys since you asked her to.
And then the next was a game of strength and ben was the one playing, it was a punching machine so ben went ahead and he punched it, and your eyes lit up when you saw the tickets coming out of the machine and you smiled and you took a picture.
After you took a picture you lowered your phone away from your face, and you clicked on one of the pictures you took, and you couldn't help but chuckle at it.
'This day seems to be going as well as i thought.'
