The next morning, Lavanya woke up with a heavy heart. The events of the previous night weighed heavily on her mind, filling her with a sense of despair. As she went about her daily chores, she couldn't shake off the feeling of emptiness that consumed her, her usual confidence replaced by a quiet desperation.
When Varun made a disparaging remark about the breakfast she had prepared, Lavanya felt a surge of humiliation wash over her. Instead of standing up for herself, she bowed her head in shame, her confidence shattered by his harsh words.
Throughout the day, Lavanya moved through the house like a ghost, her presence barely noticeable as she went about her tasks with a sense of resignation. She no longer felt like the confident, assertive woman she once was, but rather a shadow of her former self, lost in a sea of uncertainty.
At dinner that evening, Varun once again ridiculed Lavanya in front of their guests, his laughter ringing in her ears like a cruel taunt. Unable to bear the humiliation any longer, Lavanya excused herself from the table, her eyes brimming with tears as she fled to the solitude of their bedroom.
Alone in the darkness, Lavanya allowed herself to finally break down, her sobs echoing the pain and loneliness that consumed her. Despite her best efforts to hold on, she couldn't help but feel like a failure, trapped in a marriage which she expected as fariy tale but that seemed to offer nothing but heartache and despair.
