CH-9: Explanation

3rd Person's POV:

"What the heck, Hyejin?" Seungmin whisper yelled when they came inside her room. "Why did you lie?" He asked and Hyejin sighed and looked down. "I'm sorry Seungmin, but I didn't know what else to do." She said out and by her tone he knew something was wrong. "Okay, now explain everything to me. I am listening." He sat down on the sofa in her room and Hyejin sat down in front of him.

"So, my parents are arranging my marriage with one of their family business partner's sons, whom I have known since childhood, and I declined it. They were furious and asked me why. I told them I don't want to marry him because I already have a boyfriend and they told me to bring him otherwise they will arrange my marriage with him. I wasn't with anyone, and I panicked.

When we were in the cafeteria, someone clicked our picture and started a rumor, and I took an advantage of the situation. Those friends were coming today so I didn't attended school, and I knew you would come here to talk to me. They all didn't believe me when I said that and then you came at the right time. Just to save myself, I told them that you are my boyfriend, so now they will discuss about calling this arrangement off."

She told him everything and he patiently listened. "Hyejin? Why can't you confront the boy and told him to back off? You should have given it a try." Seungmin said and Hyejin looked up at him. "He would never do that.' Seungmin furrowed his eyebrow. "Why? Does he like you?" He asked and she shook her head. "He claims that he loves me, but I don't like him." "Why?" Hyejin seems to be a bit tensed up and was nervously biting her lips.

"Umm, he- he once tried to molest me." She said in a tiny voice and Seungmin stopped. "What?" He was in disbelief. "Why can't you tell your parents that?" He asked. "I tried telling them, but he always put up a gentlemen behavior in front of them, and they think I am lying to them so that this all get cancelled." She told him and he looked down.

"Seungmin, I trust you and I beg you, please. Please help me out. It's only you whom I can trust. Please Seungmin, please." She pleaded and Seungmin sighed. "What if they approached my parents?" He asked and She wiped her tears. "I won't let that happen, please Seungmin help me." She begged and Seungmin sighed. "Fine, but we are only a couple in front of them. Don't attach to me when we are in the university."

Jiyeon again eyes Seungmin when he sat beside her. Soobin arrived and he was also eyeing him. "What the heck, bro? Shouldn't you be sitting with your girlfriend?" He asked sarcastically and he shrugged. "I don't have one." Jiyeon squinted her eyes. "Then explain the photos videos and everything?"

Seungmin smiled at her and said, "Are you a loan? Because you've got my interest." Soobin scrunched his nose and Jiyeon shook her head. "I need explanation, not your corny pick-up lines. Seungmin sighed and nodded. "Promise to not tell anyone. Here goes nothing." He recited the whole story to them, and their jaws dropped while listening.

"So, you guys are just acting?" Seungmin nodded. "We are. There is nothing much more to it." Hyejin entered the room and looked at Seungmin, she nodded at him, signaling him that she will stick to her words and sat with another girl, who was smiling at her and offered her to sit with her.

"Good thing she is keeping her words as well." Jiyeon mumbled while looking and Seungmin and Soobin both nodded. "Well, now both of you stop sulking, please." He pouted and Jiyeon pinched his cheeks. "Fine but promise not to keep secrets from us. We are friends, okay?" Seungmin nodded but then looked at her with unreadable expression.

"Yes, friends shouldn't keep secrets with each other."
