CH-13: Why can't things just gaur my way?

3rd Person's POV:

Jiyeon sighed. She looked at the clock and then at her phone while sitting in the living room. It's almost 4 and Seungmin will arrive any moment here.

"Jiyeonnie- Oh, are you going somewhere?" Her roommate, Harin asked when she came into to the living room. "Yes, I am." She said and tried to avoid eye contact. Harin smirked and crossed her arms. She leaned towards the wall and looked at Jiyeon. "With whom?" Jiyeon sighed. "None of your business." Harin nodded. "Fine, don't tell me. I still have to tell auntie that you are going out even when you are sick."

Jiyeon rolled her eyes and stood up. "What is your problem? Do your own thing and stop pestering me and putting your nose in my business." Harin shook her head. "I am just looking out for you." "Looking out for me? No, you are just making everything worse. Don't bother to put your nose in my business!" She sneered at her and left the dorm, after she heard the sound of the notification on her phone.

She met Seungmin outside, who was waiting for her, patiently. "Hey!" He waved and she smiled and waved back. "You are on time." She said and he nodded. "Let's go?" He asked and pointed to the car on which he was leaning. "Didn't knew you had a car?" She asked as she buckled up her seatbelt.

"No, I don't. This is Chan Hyung's. Only him and Minho Hyung are allowed to have their cars in the dorms. We 00 liners are not allowed to have one yet, but maybe in this or next semester, we can have one. But one thing for sure is that Iseul and Eunji will get it before us." Jiyeon nodded. "So, where are you taking me?" She asked and he smiled mischievously. "Somewhere far away from here."

They were off to their destination, but both of them were unaware of the prying pair of eyes on them from a distance. Harin smirked and pulled out her phone from her pocket. "Wanna know some news?" She asked from the person on the other side. "Jiyeon went out with Seungmin."

Sumin gasped from the other side. "What? Seungmin? Took Jiyeon on a date? That requires some guts." Harin hummed and went inside. "So what are you going to do next?" Sumin thought for a while. "Why not use this ex-girlfriend of Hyunjin to get back at Iseul? Let's pay Seungmin back as well. How about that?" Harin laughed. "Now that is something I will absolutely love to do."

Jiyeon yawned. It has been an hour since they have been driving but there is no sign of stopping. "Don't sleep, we are almost there." Seungmin said but Jiyeon scoffed. "You are saying that since the past forty-five minutes." Seungmin chuckled. The car came to a halt, and she looked at him.

"Are we there?" She asked and he nodded, unbuckling his seatbelt. They both came outside of the car and then Jiyeon looked around the place where he had taken her. Her eyes widened and jaw dropped in aww as she started to admire the beautiful place. Seungmin chuckled taking in her reaction and also looked around the beautiful hill, which was filled with cherry blossom trees.

Jiyeon's gaze landed on something, and she pointed at it. "Did you arrange it too?" Seungmin followed her gaze and saw the tent house he had previously asked his friends to put for him. He nodded. "I asked my dormmates to do so. This piece of land is owned by my family but is not in use due to some dispute. But it's beautiful and unused, so why not make the best of it?" He smiled and she smiled back too. He held out his hands for her to hold.

They both walked towards the tent while admiring the beautiful place. Jiyeon was skeptical about this date with him, but coming here was actually a good idea. Ever since she has moved in with her new roommate, ever since she had found that she has cancer, she has been always so much caught up with things, that she forgot to enjoy the beauty of nature.

She enjoyed her time with him. He made some ramyeon for the both of them, they played some games together, and she doesn't know from where but Seungmin pulled out some ice creams, which he brought in a carriable refrigerator. Right now, both of them were enjoying their ice cream while sitting on a bench and looking at the beautiful view.

"I want to talk to you about something." Seungmin said. Jiyeon smiled and hummed, "about what?" "About us." Jiyeon's breathe was caught in her chest but she composed herself and looked at him. "Huh?" Seungmin smiled and held both of her hands in his. "I know you know I like you. I've never hid it from you. I am poor at hiding these kinds of things, so I have never bothered to hide it. I wanted to go on a date so that I can talk about us, freely, without having any interruptions, without someone trying to spread fake rumors about me, without someone telling you mean shits and making you feel that I don't like you."

Jiyeon's eyes widened. "How did-" "Ryujin." She bit her lips. "She is a good friend of Jeongin and knows me very well too. She told me about it, and I don't even wanna let you know about how desperate I was to take you out on this date. I want to clear some- no, scratch that, a LOT things up. But first I want to do this." Seungmin took a deep breathe.

"Can you be my girlfriend?" He asked and Jiyeon's eyes began to well up. She shook her head. "I'm sorry." Seungmin held her hands again, which she took away. "But why? Soobin told me you like me as well, then why? What is wrong?" He knew, but he wanted to her from her, so she gave him what he wanted. "You are amazing, Seungmin. But we- we can't date because,

I have gastric cancer."
