CH-5: NOOOOOO!!!

3rd Person's POV:

"She seems jealous?" Seungmin questioned and Heeji leaned back on her seat. "Hmm. What do you think it means?" She wondered and Seungmin shook his head. "Don't think too much. There is no way she likes me." Hyejin smirked and clicked her tongue. "I never said that she did, or you did."

Seungmin widened his eyes but quickly composed himself. "Don't jump into conclusions. She is just a friend." Hyejin took a sip from her coffee. "I was too." Seungmin looked back at her. "But she is different." Hyejin stared at him. "And how is she different?" "If we date, she will never hurt me." Hyejin sighed and reached out for his hands.

"Seungmin, listen. I-I am really sorry for what I did. I regret doing that. I thought what I was doing was not wrong, but when you got to know about the truth, when you broke up with me and when you stopped talking to me, it all took a toll on me. I missed our late-night conversations, I missed when we used to eat together, I missed our hangouts and all the sweet moments we had. I realized it very late that I like you." She gently squeezed his hands.

"When I was in the US, I tried dating a lot of guys, but none of them were good enough for me to forget you. I was missing you and grew tired of everything, that is why I came back, to you. I want to apologize, I want to make up all of my mistakes and most important, I want to be with you, by your side." She had glossy eyes, which stared into his.

"Could you please forgive me? Could you please accept me? Please Seungmin, please?" She sobbed and the other costumers were looking at them. Seungmin felt awkward and tried to soothe her. "Listen Hyejin, calm down, stop crying." He tried but she wailed louder. "So, you are not going to choose me? Will you not give me a second chance?" Seungmin looked around worriedly, afraid that someone might recognize him.

Everyone was looking at him as if he was some kind of alien, who made a girl cry, who was apologizing to him. "O-Okay, now stop crying." He stopped her wailing and Hyejin immediately hugged him. "I love you." She confessed and the cafe cheered together. Seungmin internally regretted coming to the closest cafe to the college with her, where he come with his friends as well. 'Which trouble did I got myself into?'

He furrowed his eyebrows, when he saw his father's message. He was asked by him to visit him to his hospital as an emergency came up and they need to meet immediately. He sighed and threw his bag on the couch in his room. "Can this day become more exhausting?"

He was walking inside the hospital, bowing and greeting every staff member, who recognized the son of the director. He was about to go inside his father's cabin when his assistant called him out. "Seungmin sir!" Seungmin looked at him and saw him standing on the side. "Sir is right now taking an appointment." Seungmin nodded and decided to wait.

He felt thirsty and went to one of the vending machines and took a can of juice. When he was approaching his father's cabin, he saw a very familiar girl stepping out of the cabin, while talking to his father. He was about to call her and wave at her, but he saw her pulling out her phone and rushing out immediately after thanking his father, as if she was in a rush.

He approached his father and tapped him on his shoulder. "How are you doing my son?" Dr. Kim greeted him with a hug which Seungmin returned back. "I'm doing great father. What about you?" They walked inside the cabin and sat down on the sofa. "I'm doing fine as well. How's college." Seungmin nodded. "It's good. But if you won't mind, can I ask you a question?" Dr. Kim nodded at him. "Why was she here?" He pointed towards the door.

Dr. Kim looked at him with wide eyes. "She as in Choi Jiyeon?" Seungmin nodded. "Do you know her?" Seungmin again nodded. "She is my friend. A very good friend." Dr. Kim looked at him doubtfully. "A friend of yours? She never told me." Seungmin shrugged. "She didn't know about my family status." His father nodded while being in deep thought. "Now, tell me why was she here? Is something wrong with her?" Seungmin question with seriousness and Dr. Kim sighed before continuing,

"She has stage 3 gastric cancer."
