i sigh, what the hell is wrong with my life, better question is what is not wrong in it...

few days ago when we were together, he offered me something, similar thing as the one i did for him when i worked at the cafe, with Mr. Cooper

i started to argue with him

"so another persons death would be on me yeah?" i question being irritated

"no ones death is on you Abigail" he says calmly

"of course it is, Mr. Cooper for example" i remind him

"did you pulled the trigger to kill him" he asks and i shook my head 'no'

"but i helped you with getting information from him"

"what got him killed was him being a pedophile having child wife's, raping and abusing kids, selling them, but all you did was to find out where those kids where, here and in France too" I'm speechless

i remember him telling me that i look like his late wife, he talked so nicely, i guess that's how he managed to make kids trust him

end of flashback

so yeah i was in shock, i felt a little better when he reminded me few more times that i helped the kids.

and he asked me to do similar thing, but since I'm no longer working, he told me how is should be done.

i agreed, why? because i was the one who suggester my cooperation, for not killing me, anyway.

I'm currently in a cafe, not the one i used to work at, I'm supposed to be searching foe some dude who Kaiden told me to get to know, but i lost myself in thoughts of what happened yesterday

i order my drink and as i wait for it to be made i eye the surrounding to find man named Nile, i take my coffee

Then I saw him. Sitting in the corner, sipping his coffee, his eyes sharp and calculating. My heart raced as I approached, my palms growing clammy despite my best efforts to remain composed.

"Mind if I join you?" I asked, forcing a smile as I gestured to the empty seat across from him.

He looked up, his gaze scanning me from head to toe before finally nodding. "Be my guest."

"do you live around here?" I asked trying to make a conversation

"no" 

"oh, sorry, I'm new here, i thought to make new friends to show me around" he looks at me

"i can, i don't live here but I'm here often" he is staring at my boobs, i just love man

"oh I'm sorry for asking but, do you have a partner, i just don't want it to be a miscommunication on why we're together"

"Just me and my work." he assures me

"Must get lonely, though," I remarked

"I manage just fine," he replied, his voice tinged with a touch of defensiveness.

 "well true, as long as i have my siblings, you know i never feel lonely, what about you? Do you have any siblings, maybe?" i was told to lie as much as i can

he shook his head, i stayed there for a little, we made plans to meet up, i feel bad for his wife, and yes he has one, him assuring me that he doesn't, doesn't mean i didn't saw ring on his finger

whatever, i text Kaden whatever i we talked about, the lies he told me and i caught in them. after i was done with it i texted Kori

Me: where are you

Kori: where do you want me to be

Me: our place in 10

Kori: yes ma'am 

we meet up, and i decided to ask him about Kaiden

"why are you asking, did he say something or do?" Kori asks

"no, i just saw him few times, we greet each other and that was it" i lie

"Huh, don't recommend getting close to him, he's just... Different, you know" he tries his best to explain, too late for that...

"What flavor did you get" he asks me about the slushy

"Coconut and pineapple, you?"

"Blueberry" he states

"What's your plan on Halloween" I ask him

"Work, what about you" he asks, he's been doing this past three years, warning me not to come out on Halloween night

Why? Because it's dangerous, although I do know the real reason, I wonder is he involved in MRT?

"Same as always" I raise my eyebrows

"You know I'm doing this for your own good right" he questions

"Of course, I kno-" I was cut off by his shouting

"Fucking hell, brain freeze" he just his hands on his head

"I didn't knew air could freeze" I grin, you know, because he's an airhead

"Funny, Abby, very funny" he rolls his eyes

"Questions, what would you do or say if someone tell you too call them daddy" Kori asks

"Tell them to leave the way my dad did?"

"So basically telling them to die?" I nod "good one"

We were hanging out and then I remembered "I forgot, I need to buy candy, for Halloween" I tell him

"Actually, same" so we go to the nearby store

"They're already selling Halloween stuff" Kori asks

"They started to it a month ago" I tell him, hallow is in few days

We buy some candy, chocolate, I for a second looked away and now Kori is no where to be seen

I look around and suddenly I hear it "boo"

I gasp, it's Kori wearing some monsters mask

"Stupid" I hit him

"I need to teach you self-defense one day, that's not a hit, felt like feather touched me"

"I didn't even try hard" I rolled my eyes

And I gonna survive the hunt, if I got scared of Kori? God I'm in deep shit

"BLA BLA BLA, bullshit, anyway, what are you plans on Halloween?" I know why he's asking, to make sure I'm not outside

"Probably rotting in bed watching scary movies" I tell him and he nods

He walked to my apartment since it's dark outside, when I got home I saw an email

I open it and read all the details for the MRT

It's gonna last for six hours, they made sure to tell us where we need to meet up for them to give us some kind of trackers, we can go anywhere, but no cars, trains, bus's, only walking/running, and we cannot go outside of New York.

Great, I wasn't nervous before, but I sure am now...
