It's finally the weekend!

The quests paused for a while as I prepared the biggest part of my training. In three months, training doesn't mean I won't be going to school.

I can't let my education get wasted just because I'm busy getting some muscles. So I have to be clever about this.

"Mom, I'll be going on a trip every week for three months!"

"Says who?" Mom deadpanned, sending a bullet that hit me without being able to dodge it.

Still, that didn't stop me. "I did!" My desperation must be visible as she halted from chopping something in the kitchen.

Clearing my throat, I remained calm and composed. "Don't worry, I'm going with my buddies." If I yell any further, I'll end up chopped, haha.

Peering over her shoulder to look at me, she raised a brow in suspicion. "Where exactly are you going that you need to go on a trip every week for three months?"

"Must be some shady business." Dahyeon chimed in with a snicker, casually laid down sideways on the long couch while watching a show from the television.

"Mind your own business, little shit—I mean, little sis." Glancing back to mom, a polite smile crept up to my lips. "It's the Chungcheong province. I'm going there for research purposes."

That's not a lie. I went through a tough battle with my teacher for this to happen, I practically begged for it. In the end, he conceded and let me have this trip as a research project for additional grades.

I had crappy scores in his subject anyway, so it's a win! The Silver Tongue card is really beneficial in desperate situations. Now, I should be able to do the same to mom—

"Fine." Hold up, did she just agree?!

Even my sister sat upright in surprise. "Mom?! Did Suhyeon brainwash you?!"

"Hey! That's absurd!" Besides, the card didn't even trigger yet! "Mom, you're not pranking me, are you?"

She just continued chopping the vegetables. Menacingly. "Do you want me to change my mind?"

"Absolutely not." I almost twerked in glee at the effortless permission granted. "Thank you mom! You're the best!"

A better mom than the wench of my past.

Entering my room, I grabbed the suitcase and a bag I prepared the night before. Upon leaving my room, my sister raised a brow at me. "Wait, you're leaving already?"

"Yep! Every Friday, I'll be leaving for Chungcheong. Maybe I'll return around midnight every Monday."

She just scoffed and laid back again. "It's best you don't return."

"Want me to drag your ass with me and crack some bones?"

"Mom! She's being weird again!"

Mama Kim ignored us for the sake of her mental peace. "I'll be off!" Before I can go for the door, she stopped her activity in the kitchen and went to see me out.
