Rosalie had help picking out all of her new clothes and shoes from her mother, since Rosie didn't know too much about fashion. The pair had went out to get clothes and shoes two days after Rosie had moved in, but after the shopping trip, Rosie started feeling sad. By the next day, she stopped coming out of her bedroom.

Alisa tried her best to make the girl feel better, but it wasn't working out well for her. She knew why Rosie was sad, but she also knew that Rosie was having a hard time adjusting to being in the outside world. Everything was hard for her, and Alisa was trying her best to give the girl some time, but she just couldn't handle seeing her little girl so sad.

"Baby," Alisa lightly knocked on Rosie's door and peeked her head inside,"I'm going out to the store. I'll be back in an hour or so. Do you need anything?"

"No, thank you," Rosie replied, her voice barely audible.

Alisa closed the door behind herself, and headed towards the door to leave. She hesitantly glanced back down the hall, contemplating if she should even leave. Honestly, she was almost scared to leave her daughter alone. She didn't think her daughter was going to cause a problem, no, she was scared that something was going to happen. Rosie had admitted in a letter when she was around twelve, that she had tried to off herself, and Alisa was worried that leaving her alone would give her a window for opportunity. Her daughter had a lot to live for, but that didn't mean she felt it at that time. For now, all she knew was that she had her mother, and sometimes that wasn't enough.

After taking a shaky breath, Alisa decided to leave anyway. They needed food, and she wanted to get something special for Rosie to hopefully make her feel better. As she was locking the door, she heard someone coming down the hall. She glanced up and see her neighbor, Evan Buckley. She had met him a few times, and he had been a really nice guy each time they talked.

"Hey, Evan!" Alisa greeted, leaving a smile on her face.

"Hey, Bunnie!" He replied, a smile coming to his face.

After Alisa had moved out of Roger's house years ago, she had started to only go by her nickname, Bunnie. She wasn't really a fan of her name, Alisa, not after everything with Roger. He would use her name with such anger, malice, and in such a mocking tone at times, that she simply couldn't handle her name being used anymore. She had decided that her nickname that her friend had given her would be perfect, thus the name Bunnie was used by everyone after she left Roger.

"How's it going?" Alisa asked, as Evan walked her down the stairs.

"Can't complain," He answered, with a chuckle,"I've been working longer hours recently."

"Do you have a day off today?" She looked at him with a raised eyebrow,"You're not normally home at this time, if you're working."

"Yeah," He nodded,"I'm headed to see my sister right now, actually."

Alisa and Evan talked a little more, until she was at her car. Evan was a gentleman, and he would walk a woman to her car, even if that made him a little late for wherever he was supposed to be headed. Alisa thanked him, and as he walked away, she had a thought come to her head.

"Evan!" She called out, causing him to turn around.

"Something wrong?" He asked, but she shook her head.

"How would you feel about coming to dinner tonight?" She questioned,"My daughter just moved in with me, and I think you two would really get along. I think..." She sighed,"I think that you could help pull her out of her depression."

"Uh," He rubbed the back of his neck,"yeah, yeah I'd like that." He replied, causing the woman to smile again.

"Thank you," She murmured,"and I'll be starting dinner at six, so show up around then, and you can meet her."

"Can I get her name?" He asked, feeling a little nervous.

"Rosalie, but everyone calls her Rosie or Rose." She replied, and he nodded with a dopey smile appearing on his face.

"Yeah, I'll be there." He said, before he headed towards his car once again.

Alisa smiled to herself, as she got into her car. She turned on some music, before starting her journey to the store. Now that Evan was coming, she wanted to make sure she had plenty of food. She knew he was a firefighter, and those men at a lot, mostly because they worked so hard that they needed to eat more to keep their energy.

For dinner, Alisa decided to make a taco pasta bake, along with some bread sticks, and salad. She also decided to make peanut butter pie and banana pudding cheesecake for dessert. Once she had all the food, she headed to another store to buy something for Rosie.

She grabbed a phone and all the accessories needed for it, along with a Bluetooth speaker. She wanted her daughter to be able to express herself with music, and the best way would be with a phone and a Bluetooth speaker. She just hoped that her daughter would like the gifts.

Alisa had decided to get a gift bag for the phone and all its accessories, and she grabbed a small thing of wrapping paper to wrap the speaker. She then headed home and placed the bag and the speaker on the counter. She quickly wrapped the speaker, before she headed back down to her car to carry in all the groceries. It ended up taking two trips, but that wasn't a big deal, this was how she got a bit of her leg exercise. Once everything was inside, she began to pull everything out of the bags to start getting ready for tonight...
