"Hmm, all the way out east, huh?" Yuri said after Yena relayed the prophecy to the group waiting downstairs.
"And potential aid from a fallen god's child..." Seunggi muttered.
"The only clear thing about this prophecy was the part about us having to clear our parents' names," Yujin complained.
"Yeah, like what was the part about the birds about?" Yena asked.
"It could be referring to other demigods," Minju proposed. "Obviously, the owl is referring to Athena. Ravens have been associated with Apollo. The swan though... those are birds representing Aphrodite."
"So, you're saying that children from those three gods will be needed on the quest? To help in a fight with a trickster," Seunggi surmised.
Minju nodded. "As for the fallen god's child, I'm not too sure. That could refer to anyone."
"These lines usually play themselves out eventually throughout the duration of the quest," Seunggi replied. "They give you a general idea, but overthinking each line can be a headache. I suggest focusing on the parts of the prophecy we do understand for now. You three along with three children from the Athena, Apollo, and Aphrodite cabins must travel east."
"What could be all the way in the east though?" Yena asked.
"There's only one thing I can imagine that would be of note in that area- the entrance to the underworld..." The room goes quiet at those words.
"That last line from the prophecy," Chaewon, who had been silent for most of the discussion, interjected. "A curse festering from below... could it have something to do with my father?"
"Perhaps, but again, only time will tell," Seunggi said.

Once dinner rolled around, Seunggi made the announcement that Yena, Chaewon, and Yujin would be going on a quest to the underworld. What got everyone's attention though was the mention that a child from the Athena, Apollo, and Aphrodite cabins needed to accompany the trio.
Chaewon watched from her solo table, seeing the aforementioned demigod groups begin arguing why they should represent their cabins on the quest- well, except for the Aphrodite children who were doing the opposite- trying to weasel their way out of being chosen.
Minju's words from a couple days prior echoed back in her head. During summer, one of the only ways to be able to leave camp was if you were assigned a quest. A lot of these demigods probably wanted a chance to show their mettle and gain glory. Chaewon scoffed at the idea. She'd be lying to herself though if she didn't admit she had something to gain from this quest. If they were going to the underworld, that meant a chance to finally meet her dad for the first time.
As Chaewon's gaze drifted throughout the crowd, one pair of eyes managed to catch her attention, just like they did every time she let her attention wander. At the Athena table, Minju was smiling at Chaewon while her siblings continued to bicker.
"Alright, everyone! Settle down. The trio will leave in two days' time. By tomorrow, they will be the ones choosing who will be going on the quest with them. Is that understood?" Seunggi announced.
There was a smattering of groans and disagreements from the crowd, but no one dared to speak out. Instead, Chaewon now found many sets of eyes back on her and her friends.
Oh great... Chaewon thought. More attention.

As expected, several campers from the Athena and Apollo cabins showed up at Chaewon's tables. When the short-haired girl would brush them off and focus on her food, they'd just move on to either Yena or Yujin's tables. Even children from other godly houses like Ares and Nike tried to convince her that the prophecy was about them. Chaewon didn't budge.
