"Chaewon-unnie, wait up!" Yujin yelled as her friend picked up her pace. It was like she was possessed, running ahead without any subtlety through the forest filled with black trees- poplars, Minju had mentioned.

The terrain felt like it was repeating over and over making it difficult to gauge how far they'd gone.

"What's going on with her?" asked Wonyoung confusedly. If they kept this up, they'd be spotted by the ghouls for sure.

"I don't know, but she mentioned Dangun, so we must be close, right?" said Yena, almost running into a tree while her head was turned.

All the while, Chaewon was just muttering to herself incoherently. Yujin was officially worried, but she couldn't just stop her if they were this close to getting to Dangun and finding out his true killer.

Eventually, the group broke into a clearing and lo and behold, standing in the middle of the gray colored grass was a figure that looked very much Korean. He was dressed in traditional robes that accentuated his rugged appearance very well. The aura around him was certainly different from any of the ghosts they'd run into so far.

"Woah... is it him?" muttered Minju.

At the sound of her voice, the spirit's eyes flashed open.

"Where am I?" he mumbled. He then finally registered the six demigods in front of him and let out a yelp.

"No! Not again! You already killed me once!" he yelled, cowering in fear.

"Woah, woah, we're not here to hurt you!" Yena said, putting up both hands in a sign of peace. "We just want to know who killed you."

Yujin internally sighed. That wasn't exactly the best way to phrase something like that. Dangun did not look convinced in the slightest.

"Drop your weapons if you truly mean peace. I can sense the magical items on you!" he hissed.

Chaewon nodded first and placed her Stygian blade on the ground.

"Unnie, are you sure?" Yujin asked, clinging tightly to her necklace. Something felt off, but she couldn't tell what.

"Just listen to her, Yujin. It'll all be over soon," Yuri interjected in a calm tone.

She didn't like it, but she and the others eventually complied, carefully placing all their weapons down.

"Now, tell us what happened to you!" Wonyoung demanded with a shaky voice.

"I think it would be better if I showed you." At this, Dangun's eyes lit up, the group's surroundings starting to shift until they were in a Korean palace.

Yujin knew where this was. It was what she saw in her very first dream.

This time though, she was inside the palace. Sitting on a throne was Dangun, looking a lot less dead compared to a few moments ago.

Nothing seemed out of the ordinary until the sound of a vase breaking rang throughout the hall.

"Yah, who's there?" his voice boomed across the empty room. Instead of a response, a small shiny object cut through the air and pierced his exposed skin.

Dangun groaned in pain. "What... is this?"

He stumbled out of his throne, grabbing at his neck. "Who d-dares?"

At this, a hooded figure stepped out from behind one of the pillars, and unfortunately, her face wasn't one Yujin recognized. She had a slim figure, a sharp jawline, and long blonde hair reaching past her shoulders. In her hand was a celestial bronze dagger.
