"Wow, Kacchan! Your quirk is amazing! When I get mine, I hope it's just as cool!"

"Whatever, Deku. No matter what power you end up with, you'll never be able to beat me."

Izuku always tried to get close to Kacchan. He was his idol. Kacchan was amazing. He had gotten an explosion quirk that fascinated Izuku.

All he ever wanted was to match up to him. To be his equal. Soon, he would realize that this adoration would turn into a twisted desire to watch him crumble.

"Your son is not going to develop a quirk."

It was the most repulsive sentence Izuku has ever heard in his life. At that moment, he swore he would beat Katsuki even if it resulted in his death.

He wouldn't be his equal.

He would be his superior.

However, Midoriya continued to trail behind Katsuki. It's all he had ever known. It's where he felt most familiar, even if that familarity ended in a black eye.

Those were the most pain-ridden years of his life.

Mindless following of that jerk for the entirety of grade school and a majority of junior high.

Katsuki would prowl on innocent victims, and all Midoriya could do was sit there and watch.

However, this following gave him some valuable information about Katsuki over the years. Like how he would always start a fight with a full powered right hook or that he sweats nitroglycerin, which is the main source of his explosions. Midoriya wrote down all the little details in one of many identical journals. Hell, he had one solely dedicated to Katsuki.

Midoriya was used to Katsuki's petty bullying, but today was different.

The school day had just come to an end. Midoriya was collecting the several pens he had sprawled out on his desk.

All of a sudden, Katsuki came up behind him, grabbing his shoulder and slamming him into a wall.

Sparks shot out of his hands, threatening to burn Midoriya if he resisted.

All the air got knocked out of his lungs when his back made contact with the wall. Winded, Izuku snapped at him, "What is your deal?!"

Completely ignoring Midoryia, Katsuki grabbed his bag, shuffling through it for a few seconds before pulling out his observation book of him.

"I told ya this creep was stalking me." He said as he flaunted the book before deciding to go through it.

Page after page, his eyes grew larger, and his mouth dropped. He took another look before signaling one of his followers to unlock the hatch on the window, opening it.

He slammed the book shut, setting it on fire with his 'awesome' quirk before throwing it out the window.

"What the hell?!" Midoriya choked out.

He shoved Bakugo back and grabbed him by the collar. He pulled him to the already open window and slammed the blonde into the sill. Bakugo winced at the sudden contact, which just encouraged Izuku to continue.

His grip tightened on the white fabric of the school uniform as he gave Bakugo another hard push, so he was leaning out the window just enough so if he let go, he would fall.

The boy struggled against Midoriya's grip before determining that he'd rather be held there than landing on the pavement three stories down.

"Let go of me, you damn nerd." He almost cried.
