A/N: This chapter contains self-harm and some gore.
_________________________________________"So, did I make the cut?" Izuku said blatantly.
Something had changed. He wasn't nervous or bouncy like before. All the emotion had drained from his voice. The tone was sinister. It's as if that murder flipped a switch in his head.
"If it were up to me, I would've already let you in. You did incredible." Dabi said, noticing the severe lack of excitement in Midoriyas voice.
Dabi couldn't really judge him, though. He wasn't exactly thrilled to join when he first got started, either.
"Well, it isn't up to you. So, frankly, I don't give two shits about your opinion." Izuku snapped. He pushed past Dabi. He made his way over to the bar, where he decided on a barstool closer to Shigaraki.
"Damn." Shigaraki laughed.
The TV glitched. The same figure as before appeared on it.
"Izuku Midoriya."
"Yeah?" Izuku said, breaking off from the dirty look he was giving Dabi.
"Come to my office. I want to discuss your quirk. Kurogiri will make a warp gate."
"And Kurogiri is?"
"He's around here somewhere." Dabi said, leaning on his foot, peeking through some doors. He planted both of his feet again and walked into a room. He comes out seconds later, dragging a man covered with a purple, mist-like substance behind him. "This is Kurogiri." Dabi threw Kurogiri towards Izuku, who dodged.
"Oh, I know that guy. I saw him earlier. Didn't pay much attention to him. I honestly thought he was just a background character." Izuku commented.
Completely ignoring Midoriya's remark, Kurogiri approached the TV. "What can I do for you, master?"
"I need you to warp Izuku to me."
"Yes, sir." He opened a portal as commanded. Izuku looked at it hesitantly before stepping in.
On the opposite side of the portal was a dark, run-down room. It wasn't very inviting. It had no windows and lacked a door.
The walls were so close that it felt like if Izuku breathed too hard, they would cave in.
In the middle of the poorly insulated room, a man sat hooked up to several machines. His head looked mangled and scarred.
"Hello, Izuku."
"Cut to the chase. What do you want to discuss? Who even are you?"
"I am All For One, and I'm going to fulfill your dreams of fitting in and relieving you of your curse. Lucky for you, I already have a quirk that will work perfectly with you."
"And that is?" Izuku dropped his snarky tone, turning it into one of curiosity.
"It's called 'Devils' Playground'. With this quirk, a demon will manifest itself within you. With this demon, you can manipulate your blood and the blood of others, allowing you to control the victim anyway you'd like.
However, if you let your guard down, the demon will make leeway in your soul and take over entirely."
"How do you know my body will be able to handle it? I've never owned a quirk, so my body developed differently than others."
"The demon will strengthen your physical body as well as your soul."
"I'm going to have to pass on that one. Being possessed is a severe turnoff from this deal." Izuku said, walking away only to realize there was no door.
