Chapter 3: The Second Visit

Later on at night, the turtles were ready for another night of patrol as Leo soon knocks on Mikey's bedroom door:

"Mikey, we're ready to head up; you coming?"

"No thanks" Mikey called out from the other side.

Leo looked confused as normally Mikey was always excited to go up to the surface mostly every night; and to hear him saying no thanks on going up the surface tonight causes the elder brother to check up on his baby brother.

"Mikey? Are you OK?" Leo asked as he peeks inside his brother's room.

Michelangelo was sitting on his bed, playing with Ice Cream Kitty in her bowl.

"What's wrong, buddy?" Leo asked in concern.

"It's nothing, dude; I just wanna spend some time with Ice Cream Kitty," Mikey brushed Leo off.

"Hey Mike! Quit stalling and let's go" Raph impatiently said.

"He's backing this patrol out" Leo pointed out.

"Seriously?" Raphael quizzed.

Donatello heard what was going on and looks at Mikey curiously: "Are you alright, Mikey?"

"Yeah I'm just not feeling it tonight, y'know?" Mikey nodded.

"Are you feeling sick or something?" Donnie quickly asked in his doctor tone.

"This is Mikey we're talking about" Raphael poked fun at his baby brother.

Leonardo frowned and Donnie rolled his eyes in annoyance before Mikey said:

"I just feel like having a me night with just Kitty and I, is that OK?"

Truth be told, Mikey didn't want to go out on patrol since he worries lately that he'll mess up again and get his brothers mad that they'll just send him away again. So rather having a repeat of last night, he decided to sit this one out for his brothers and stay out of trouble for once.

"I'll be fine, just go on without me" Mikey assured, giving them a thumbs up.

The other brothers looked at one another before Leo slowly nodded: "Alright Mikey, you just rest easy for tonight"

"Fine, bye! Let's go!" Raphael cheered as he was the first to leave for the surface.

Soon the three older turtles left for patrol while the youngest remained in his room. Ice Cream Kitty meows in concern for her owner to which Mikey only gently scratch her chin to calm her:

"I'm alright, Kitty; I just don't wanna mess up again because if I do then I'll just be sent back home again"

After an hour of watching his favorite show, Crognard the Barbarian, he noticed Kitty was melting and quickly put her back in the freezer so she could rest. Sadly Mikey soon got bored after a while and decided to go out somewhere for the time being as he sneaked out of the lair and walked around the sewers.

It wasn't long until he saw a familiar path that he remembered from last night after his visit with the kind woman that "saved" him from the lake.

Mikey thought about visiting her again if she's not busy. He soon follows the path that leads to Central Park where Misaki's home was before the turtle peeks out of the large pipe, making sure no one sees him.
