Blueberry looked up and breathed a gasp of shock. Ther stood his sister, not Firefly, But Toucan. He smiled. It had been so long since he had seen her, it was like sealing a chasm that had been open for so long.

"Toucan!" He said, stepping forwards. Yet she seemed to get further.

Her scales rippled, and where her scales had been clean and healthy, grew bleeding scars and burn marks. He gasped in shock.

Orange tentacles appeared around him and Toucan. A gleaming eye appeared above Toucan's head. Blueberry tried to move, but his feet were trapped in the winding tentacles. A flicker of green beside him caught his eye.

He turned his head and saw a giant green dragon climbing up a red ledge- no elevator- towards him and raise a talon and bring it down on Blueberry and-

Blueberry woke up and gasped. He hurt everywhere. Well, everywhere he had seen Toucan's scars. It hurts along long stripes along his body, like he had scars of his own.

He winced and stood up. It was the day after Firefly had vanished at the kindergarten. Well, rather than day, night.

He looked at the clock beside his bed. Three Twenty-five. Perfect timing.

Blueberry turned around grabbed the pouches laying on his desk. He tied them around his neck and turned to the door.

He reached for a piece of paper and a pen. He wrote a quick note and lay it on his bed before leaving.

Going to find missing sister in the kindergarten. Don't come looking for me. Also think Toucan could be alive. Don't know how long I could be gone for, don't panic.

-Blueberry

It was a rushed note, but his parents would know what it meant. He just hoped they didn't get too worried.

He quickly left his room and rushed down the short hallway. He spread his wings and glided down the staircase. His claws barely touched the ground before he ran to the door.

He rested his talon on the doorknob and opened the door, letting cool night air come over him. Being summer, a pale light was already showing over the horizon. But it looked like the sun rising was still a while off.

He turned and looked through the still open door. This could be the last time he saw his house in a while. The last time he saw his house ever. Who knew what was down there?

He shook off his fears and shut the door quietly behind him and rushed down the cold street. It didn't take him long to catch sight of the kindergarten.
