Toucan walked towards the stairs with Banban. Queen Bouncelia had requested a meeting with her.
Syringeon had explained the truth to her the previous day. (A/N If you don't know then go to chapter 3 and find Clay explaining stuff to Blueberry) To admit it, Toucan hadn't spoken to him since. She was mad that he had kept that a secret for ten God damned years. She wasn't ready to face him yet.
When they reached the bottom of the staircase Toucan turned to her escort.
"I'll be fine from here, Banban." She spoke. Banban looked unconvinced. Toucan rolled her eyes. "It's not like I'll drop dead the moment you look away. I'm fine. I'm made out of plastic, remember?"
She turned around and started climbing the stairs. She heard Banban call out behind her.
"You're made out of- sigh. I give up."
Toucan smirked. "You should have done that a long time ago, Ban."
She reached the top of the steps. In front of her was thousands of giant barrels of givanium and a giant throne. Perched upon it was Queen Bouncelia.
Toucan bent down to bow. After a few moments she stood up and faced her queen.
"Toucan, it is good to see you are recovering." Queen Bouncelia said. "But it is still hard to believe that a kind soul like yours would follow Sir Dadadoo."
"I was doing what I thought was right for us- I mean, the mascots." Toucan stopped herself from saying 'us'. She knew she wasn't one of them. she didn't need to refer to herself like she was.
Queen Bouncelia gave her a sympathetic look. "You may not originally be a mascot, but you have been since you stepped inside these doors. You have givanium. You care for people. Those qualiaties make you one of us."
Toucan smiled, though unconvinced. She wasn't sure she'd feel fully comfortable again after finding out her origins. She locked eyes with Sheriff Toadster and BitterGiggle, who were standing beside the throne, dwarfed by Queen Bouncelia's size. They both sent her a reassuring eye.
"But that's not what I asked you to come here for."
Toucan looked back up to Queen Bouncelia. Her expression had turned serious.
"Since the attack, Sir Dadadoo has gone missing. When we find him, we will need a way to keep him somewhere where he can't get out." Queen Bouncelia continued. "We need you to make something."
"Like, what sort of something?"
Queen Bouncelia turned her head to look down at BitterGiggle and nodded. BitterGiggle stepped forwards.
"Well, I had this idea," he said. "That we could put Sir Dadadoo in with the naughty ones? Queen Bouncelia already has them in her pouch, including the few who were in the battle, so I was thinking we could make something strong enough to trap them all in."
"That makes sense." Toucan said, thinking. "Due to the naughty ones and Sir Dadadoo's shared genome, we could make something able to shrink Sir Dadadoo's atoms and trap him inside of the pouch, which being made for the naughty ones only, might be possible due to their DNA. The sharable DNA that both Queen Bouncelia and Sir Dadadoo both have are from the same genome, which means that if we stretch a few neutrons and electrons, we might be able to trap Sir Dadadoo in there without tearing apart both Sir Dadadoo and her majesty..."
She looked up. The three mascots in front of her were staring at her. confused. "Oh, sorry." She said, rubbing the back of her head. "I nerded out."
"How long would it take you to make it?" Queen Bouncelia asked.
"About two days?"
Queen Bouncelia nodded and turned to Sheriff Toadster. "You and Syringeon need to set up traps everywhere that Sir Dadadoo could be hidden. Don't bother putting many in light- being in light too long hurts him. Put it in shadow and warn others not to go there."
Sheriff Toadster nodded and vanished down the stairs. Queen Bouncelia turned back to Toucan.
"We have a quiet place for you to be able to make whatever you need to trap Sir Dadadoo. It already has building supplies there. BitterGiggle will show you there." She turned to BitterGiggle, who nodded and walked over to stand beside Toucan.
"Is there anything else you will need?"
Toucan looked towards Queen Bouncelia's scepter. it was originally made to help Queen Bouncelia settle into her role of queen- now she rarely used it.
"If I have your permission, I'll need your scepter."
Queen Bouncelia raised an eyebrow but reached down and handed Toucan the scepter. It wasn't as large as it looked, though it was still big.
"May I ask why you need it?"
Toucan looked up.
"This is going to be the key to our safety."
...
(A/N) Wow, it's only been three days since I started this and I'm already on- what- chapter 6! It looks like my writing block has finally decided to stop annoying me. I'm planning to release another chapter soon, actually probably today. I am writing nonstop at the moment.
Anyways, I hope you've enjoyed it so far, it's going to continue for not too much longer before I release the next book. Garten of Banban 1 isn't a long game so I don't think this is going to be a long book either.
Well goodbye!
