Aru POV

For 3 hours it was pure pain. If it wasn't my head, it was my chest. If it wasn't my chest, it was my legs.

Waking up was never more relieving, but then I saw him again, in the small hospital corner, sneering at me, mocking me.

Aiden was my anchor. He was there.

And also had Swedish Fish Oreos. I almost let out a dreamy sigh.

"Aru?" Aiden said. Ohh right, we have to go up the stairs to my room. Mom was parking the car. Stairs. Ok, I got this.

"I can go. You should go home. It's fine I'll manage!" I say, cheerily. I cannot breakdown in front of anyone right now.

He cocked his head to the right then grinned. "Nope."

"Nope you won't go or nope I can't handle it?" I ask

"Both," he replies

"I'm ok, really" I insist

"Ok." He said then princess carried me. He literally swept my off as if I was nothing. I'm not joking, right now.

Aiden POV

This might become a habit after all. And not a single part of me is sad cause of that.

I carried her to her room as she just stared at me, speechless.

"Awww, I have the power to make you speechless? I wonder if I can make you blush." I say.

Her cheeks didn't turn red but her face flushed. "I can! Ohh my gods!" I say, grinning like a school-boy having a crush. Ohh, wait. I am. My grin grew bigger.

"My skin-tone is brownish, I can't blush so jokes on you." She mutters, clinging to my neck.

Shit, I am getting wayyyyy too attached and liking this wayyyy too much. I try to slow down as much as I can to hold on to her as long as I can.

She looks up again and narrows her eyes at my extremely slow pace and wriggles, trying to get out of my grip. No chance, Shah.

"I hate you."

"You love me, Shah."

She mutters something but I could have sworn it was "Ya, too much, clearly."

I'm probably gonna dream about that tonight

After a few minutes, we did reach her room and I had to let her go. Unfortunately.

She sees my stuff lying on her bedroom floor and turned to me, with a questioning eyebrow. Shit, I love that too.

"I'm staying over tonight. Tomorrow it'll be Mini and we'll figure out a schedule. And-" I stop midway.

"Aiden?" Aru asks. I don't respond. I can't respond. "Aiden?" She asks again, concerned.

"Stay here, do not move." I say and head for her bedroom door but I hear her footsteps behind me.

"Shah, stay." I say, more serious.

"Unluckily for you, I'm not a dog." She quips back.

"Please." I plead and she melts a bit. Yes, melt all the way. Come on.

"No." She says, simply and now she says, "Please."

Shit. I can't say no that face. I groan and she smiles.

I princess-carry her again. Definitely a habit.

"No. No! Put me down!" Aru persists.

"You're playing on my rules." I say going down the steps as Krithika auntie comes through the door. Awww, shoot.
