"Sorry po," The service crew apologized for accidentally spilling water on my son's clothes.

"Nah, it's okay," Kiyoshi said and he approached me.

"Pasensya na po, Ma'am." The woman looked apologetic as she asked for forgiveness.

I just smiled at her and said it was fine.

"Mama, I'll change my clothes na."

I handed Kiyoshi the spare clothes I brought for him. I always pack extra clothes for him just in case something like this happens. Mag-isang pumasok si Kiyoshi sa cr at nagpalit. Sinabi ko pang sasamahan ko siya pero ayaw niya at sinabing kaya na niya. I just let him be. He's trying to be independent.

Ilang minuto akong naghintay sa kaniya pero hanggang ngayon ay wala pa rin. Nang makita ko siya ay kumunot ang aking noo dahil patakbo siyang lumapit sa akin.

"Why are you running? Don't run like that again, okay? Pagagalitan ikaw ng guard."

"Hai, Mama." He said in japanese language.

"Why are you running?"

"Mama, those girls in the cr...they want to have a picture with me. I said don't want because you're waiting for me. I don't want to keep you waiting."

I smiled. "It's okay, Yoshi."

Matapos kumain ay bumili muna kami ng toys niya bago umuwi. Siya na mismo ang nag-ayang umuwi dahil mukhang pagod na siya.

I stroked his hair as he hugged me tightly to fall asleep faster.

"Good night, Mama," he said softly.

"Good night, Yoshi," I replied and kissed his forehead.

As I combed through his red hair, I couldn't help but think about that man. After he invited me out, he never showed up again.

I looked at the painting.

He never showed up again, but he did send flowers with a letter. In that letter, he expressed his feelings for me. After reading it, I immediately went to his house. I even asked Rinoa for the address. When I got there, the house was empty. Luckily, the landlady was there and told me that the person who lived there had already left. I wanted to laugh because when I got home, I immediately painted the flower and placed the letter beside it while I cried.

It has been six years since I last saw his face. I don't know what is happening in his life now, he left me, but I think it's for the best, because otherwise, I wouldn't have met Kiyoshi. I wouldn't be with my son. Wherever he is now, I hope he's happy. And I don't want to see his face again, so I hope he never shows up.

"Mama, I want to go to your penthouse," my son said while we were having breakfast. I took a tissue and wiped his lips.

"Okay, after you finish eating, go take a bath, alright?"

"Okay, Mama," he replied and hurriedly finished his meal. Manang and I exchanged glances and she smiled at me.

"Oh, you're all done?" Gulat kong sabi sa anak ko na tapos nang magbihis ng pang-alis.

"Mama, hurry up with your shower so we can go to the penthouse."

I laughed and walked over to him. I kissed his cheek before pinching his nose.

"Okay, wait for Mama in the living room."

"Okay, Mama!" he said and then ran out of the room.

"Don't run down the stairs, okay?" Pahabol kong sigaw nang makalabas siya, and I heard his response from outside the room.
