Chapeter 9 - Falling back in love

The next morning I see Leah taking to  Jordan they seem happy again and as Jordan leaves she gives Leah a kiss, I guess they are back together, I thought to myself I felt forgotten like nothing ever even happened between me and Leah like she just moved on and thought everything was perfect. A few weeks later we are back at Arsenal and I'm struggling I'm not eating much, getting no sleep and I'm being very distant to everyone. We are all going out to a team dinner later, I'm not sure weather I should go but I decide to drag myself out of bed and make a effort as if I didn't they may suspect something. I put on my new white and blue marble dress and headed out. I arrived at dinner a few minutes late and the only seat left was next to Katie I hadn't spoken to her in a while so it was probably a little awkward but I just sat down and cracked on with it. Everone got their drinks first .
(W= waitress )
W: ok and finally what would you like mam? She looks at me
Yn: oh um just some tap water please. I say timidly,
W: yep no problem! she writes it down and walks away,
I think Everyone can tell I'm not myself but decided not to say anything.
Now time for the meals the part I have been dreading all night.
W: what do u want love? She questions me
Yn: I just want  a um small salad please. I say quietly
W: ok nice, she walks away
Katie: are you ok y/n , you don't seem yourself? She whispers to me.
I nod
Y/n: just gonna go to the toilet, I force a smile. Everyone nods, I go to the bathroom and just cry , I felt like I couldn't do this anymore I lock my self in the cubical and sob until I physically can't anymore  I picked at the tiles on the floor until a sharp piece came off, I began slicing my wrists making small cuts that are quite deep until their is a knock at my door,
Katie: y/n please let me in. I strong Irish accent says quietly
I unlock the door and she sits next to me and holds me in her arms, I don't wince a little as she holds my wrists
Y:n : I can't do it K. I can't anymore I haven't eaten slept or even spoken in days and my arms are a fucking mess.
K: shh I know can you tell me what's bothering you so I can help you? She says in a hushed voice
Yn: it's Leah before we went to Arsenal we kissed she said she liked me and we were really close, and when we got to camp she went distant and it turned out she was dating Jordan, it's like she just forgot I existed forgot what we shared.
K: oh y/n, she kissed my forehead, she clearly doesn't know what she is missing out on . She smiles and looks into my eyes. I feel butterfly's in my stomach. I think to myself. Shit am I catching feeling for her again? I stand up with Katie she cleans my wrists up and we walk back to the table , we both sit back down. And I just stare at my food.
K: please try eat some for me babe. She whispers. Did she just call me babe oh how much I have missed that I think I am falling for her all over again I think to myself I feel my cheeks flush pink and I just nod.
K: did I just make y/n blush ? She says in a husked voice smirking
I shake my head almost giggling, I look back at my food and play with it on my fork for a bit, she puts her hand on my thigh to comfort me and I eat half of my salad. The waitress comes back around and collects our dishes. She then comes back for desert , I look at Katie worried .
K: guys I'm gonna take y/n home she isn't feeling great, she says to the group.
Less: aww bless let me know how u are later y/n. She smiles
I nod again Katie puts her arm around my waist and guided me out the restaurant and to her car , she drives me home and walks me to my room and lays me in bed.
K: night y/n text me if u need. me she smiles, and walks towards the door I jump out of bed and hug her tightly.
Y/n: I miss you.
K: u miss you too y/n, do u want me to stay?
Y/n: I would like that. Katie chuckles and hops in bed next to me, she looks at me.
K: good night gorgeous. I chuckle and roll to Katie and cuddle her.
Y/n: your such flirt McCabe. I laugh
K: only for you. She looks into my eyes then down at my lips,
K: I really want to kiss you right now,
Y/n: do it.
She gives me a soft meaningful kiss and I lay my head on her chest.
Katie: I love you y/n,
Y:n: I love you too Katie,
We both wake up the next morning and I let Katie borrow one of my training kits we both have breakfast and get in her car.
K: so y/n does this mean we are back together? She ask nervously.
Y/n: if you would like to.
Katie : I would want nothing more. She smiles and puts her hand in my inner thigh as she drives.
Y/n: but Katie can we not tell anyone I want to see who figures it out first it will be fun.
K: good idea that seems funny!
We arrive at training and hold hands walking in, we get a few weird looks and sit down on the beanbag together.
Beth: you two seem awfully close huh?
Me and Katie laugh,
K: can I not sit with my bestie now huh?
Beth: sure..... she says exaggerating the 'e'
Me and Katie laugh and Jonas comes in and tells us to get changed and head to the pitch, we all go and get ready and head out to the pitch, as we play a 5v5 I feel back to myself I was gliding through players so smoothly it was like they wasn't even their , it was pouring it down with rain I was drenched but I made the most of the situation and had a little fun, I took my shirt off and chucked it in Katie's face,
Katie: Y/N THAT IS SOAKING WET!
I laugh hysterically and she chases me around the pitch I run to Beth,
Y:n: BETH HELP KATIE HAS GONE MAD!
Katie sprints over and tackles me to the floor, we both laugh our heads off as we get up Katie whispers in my ear,
Katie: you look sexy when ur wet, she winks. I open my mouth in shock,
Y:n: Katie McCabe you naughty girl!
We both laugh and go and get into some dry clothes with the others we all go to the chill room and play some games, the games included me, Katie, Beth, viv, less and Leah.
Viv: let's play truth or dare! Everyone agrees,
Beth: le truth or dare?
Leah: truth.
Beth: what's your darkest secret.
You remember that Beth and viv don't know that you and Leah were close and what she did to you. Katie looks at me knowing what it is. I smile at her to let her know I'm ok, Leah looks at me and takes a deep breath,
Leah: Beth, Viv you don't about  this but I erm dated y/n and Jordan at the same time behind their backs.
Katie I'm not so sure if you know or not... they look at each other in shock.
Viv: fucking hell le!
Beth: r u ok y/n? I was zoned out.
Beth: y/n?
Y/n: hmm?
Beth: I said are you alright?
Y/n:  pfff yeah I'm fine! I say putting on a fake smile.
Leah: look y/n I never got the chance to properly apologise to you but I'm so sorry I know what I -
Y/n: bullshit.
Leah: what?
Y/n: stop chatting shit. You have had so many chances to apologise but you choose a fucking game of truth or dare.
I don't want to hear it, Next one. I say firmly. Leah looks down ashamed.
Katie: Beth truth or dare?
Beth: dare!
We laugh at how enthusiastic she is,
Katie: I dare you to post a funny photo of yourself on Instagram!
Beth: oh shit...
Y/n: I'll put it on my insta I've got a funny one.

Katie: BAHAHAH that's jokes!
Beth: that's not funny. She tries to put on a cross face but cracks up laughing
Y/n: truth or dare Katie.
Katie: truth.
Y/n: what was your last text and who was it too. She looks at her phone then back at me.
Katie: Yn? Can I talk to you for a minute.
We stand up and go to the corner,
K: it was from you and you said 'wanna come to my place babe.'
Y/n: up to u Katie I don't mind but it might cause some drama as Leah is here
Katie: yeah I'll just twist it up a bit.
Y/n: ok
We walk back over, Beth and Viv are giggling to each other and Leah has left,
K: where is Le?
Beth: she went out with Jordan.
Katie: anyways my last text was from
Y/n and she said, do you want to come over k?
Beth: and what exactly did you do huh? She says with a smirk. Me and Katie both go red and Viv laughs
Beth: let's see the text then. I quickly text Katie what she said and she hands Beth the phone.
Beth: valid. She goes to hand it her back then pulls it back, HOLD ON WHY HAVE YOU SAVED Y/N's NAME AS BABY with a LOVE HEART!
Me and Katie look at each other
Y/n: fine yes we are back together but you two can't tell anyone!
Beth: Omg I knew it!
Viv: I knew you too were meant to be!
Katie: thanks guys.
We all go home and Katie comes back to mine for the night,
A few weeks later
Me and Katie are doing well we are thinking about making our relationship public
Katie: do you want to go to the beach ?
Y/n: yeah let's go!
We arrive at the beach and post this on instagram,
